Leva Bonaparte of Southern Charm believes that her fellow co-stars "coddle" Kathryn Dennis Calhoun, and thinks the male cast members do it the most because they think that the other women gang on up her. Many fans are not thrilled with Leva butting in but some do concede that she has a valid point.
The mother of one has already toppled Charleston statues and is now openly questioning Kathryn's current relationship with Chleb Ravenell. The couple has been seen celebrating the holidays and New Year together. However, many people aren't buying Kathryn Dennis's new relationship. Bonaparte has not won over as many Bravo fans as she hoped to. There are fans that feel she is making the show too political. Others argue that she is just forcing viewers to see the injustices that are still plaguing the South.
During last week's episode, Leva had to ground herself from her heated fight with John Pringle and Austen Kroll, when on the boat for Madison's party. She was trying to have a conversation with Kathryn, but instead, the two men ended up involving themselves as well. While speaking with Shep Rose, Leva revealed, "It bothers me that Kathryn is not being held accountable."
The condemnation came after Leva got into a vocal argument with Austen. The trouble started when he interrupted her conversation with Kathryn. Leva went on to tell Austen, "I literally wanted to say to the guys, 'Why are you guys coddling someone that said something so viciously racist to somebody? That makes me think you're racist. The fact that you are coddling her right now, and yelling at me and calling me a bully, either you don't know what happened, you're uninformed — I don't know people who do that. I won't stand for it." The reality star moved onto speak to Shep, who is notorious for stirring the pot, but he made it clear he was trying to stay out of the mess, which did not impress Leva one bit. Instead, Shep said he refused to "ruin" her, adding, "You have to allow someone to change. I'm not a judge, jury, or executioner, and I refuse to be one."
Bravo fans will recall that Kathryn was accused of racism last summer for using a monkey emoji. It was revealed that while Kathryn claimed she didn't know who she was talking to that she used derogatory terms in the conversation. Fans are waiting for Kathryn to take full responsibility and enact changes.
Southern Charm airs on Thursday at 9 pm EST on Bravo
