Big Brother: Jesse Tannenbaum Announces BB23 Casting Starts Next Week

New Big Brother 23 casting director Jesse Tannenbaum has announced that the casting process for the upcoming season will officially start on Monday, February 15. The fans have been looking forward to BB23 since the season was announced at the end of Big Brother 22: All-Stars. While there is always a chance for the show to feature a few returning players, that seems more unlikely than ever for Big Brother 23. The overall fandom didn't react particularly well to the latest All-Stars cast, nor did most fans enjoy how the season played out.

But the biggest reason why the upcoming season will likely only feature new houseguests is that Big Brother recently switched up casting directors. Nearly two decades later, longtime Robyn Kass has parted ways with the series to pursue other endeavors. Consequently, the producers hired Jesse Tannenbaum to replace Robyn Jesse's credits include casting Survivor, Big Brother: Over The Top, and The Amazing Race. Considering that the fans had long been asking for the series to go in a different direction when it came to casting, there are many who are very excited about what Jesse caan do with the show.

Now, Jesse Tannenbaum has announced that the official casting process for Big Brother 23 will start on Monday, February 15. On that day, Jesse and the casting team will start reviewing all the applications that have been sent in the last few months and weeks. Through his Instagram Stories, Jesse made a few announcements and shared a few tips. First off, he guaranteed that the casting team watches every single submission. He then said that they will be calling applicants that moved forward in the casting process up until the end of May. "So if it just didn't work out that you don't get a call by the end of May," he said, "it just didn't work out for this season."

Jesse then proceeded to share a few tips with anyone that is currently thinking about applying for Big Brother 23. He started out by saying that applicants struggling to upload a video to the official casting website can just provide them with an unlisted YouTube link instead. Jesse added that they are looking for what makes each person different and interesting. Thus, he encourages people to be as honest as possible about their jobs, lives, relationships, and personalities. Jesse went on to share that the biggest pet peeve for the casting department is getting weird videos that don't say much about who a person is. For instance, it's not helpful to send in a short TikTok clip, or a video of yourself just working out and never speaking.

Things are getting real for the upcoming Big Brother 23 season! The fans are hoping that this will be a very dynamic and exciting season for them to watch.
