Justice League Snyder Cut Parody Video Turns Trailer Into SNL Intro

Zack Snyder's Justice League takes on a decidedly different tone in a new parody video, which turns the latest trailer into an SNL opening montage. At long last, the famed Snyder Cut's HBO Max release is just over a month away. It's been a long time coming, with the Snyder Cut campaign starting up in the wake of Justice League's original release in 2017. Director Zack Snyder has been hard at work completing his version of the film, which will clock in at 4 hours and will be the DC team-up movie he always intended to make.

Anticipation is already quite high, but it seems to swell even more with each new image and trailer that arrives. The past few weeks alone have seen the debuts of Jared Leto's new Joker look, an HD clip of Superman in his black suit, and the second full Justice League trailer. This version of the movie will be drastically different from the theatrical cut, as Snyder has added new characters and storylines. Additionally, the Snyder Cut will be rated R, a move that is perhaps the biggest shift of all.

The various Justice League teases that have emerged in recent months hint at a darker, grittier take on the team, one that fits in well with Snyder's style. However, the DC film gets a much lighter spin with this parody video from Jason Gallagher, which turns yesterday's trailer into an SNL intro. Complete with the standard rousing music and familiar announcer voice, this video is a hilarious twist on the Snyder Cut. Check it out down below.

Perhaps the funniest moment of the Snyder Cut parody is the declaration that Darkseid is the musical guest. The big bad from DC Comics will have a presence in Snyder's Justice League, though more than anything he will serve as a tease for what would have been the director's future DCEU plans. There are still fans who wish to see those come to fruition, but Snyder has voiced his doubt that it will ever happen. Still, audiences will get to see Darkseid in Justice League. Though, they probably shouldn't expect him to do any musical performances.

The bubbly vibe of the above video is a far cry from Justice League's actual tone, though the darker twist likely won't bother Snyder fans. Many are excited to see his mature take on the DC team; a few of the more violent moments from the Snyder Cut have already been teased through some behind the scenes videos. Exactly how Zack Snyder's Justice League will turn out remains to be seen, but expectations are quite high. Only time will tell if it lives up to them.
