There's a lot of hype for Battlefield 6; many fans hope that the game will return the franchise to the modern day, and a new easter egg may confirm such a setting. Eagle eyed fans have realized there are coordinates hidden in a previous teaser for the new shooter and when entered, they show a location in Kazakhstan.
Battlefield 6 was recently confirmed to be launching later this year and will be revealed very soon. EA hasn't given too many details on the title, but has noted that it'll be a substantial entry in the series. The game aims to be groundbreaking with a rumored 128-player count, massive levels of destruction, and much more. EA has somewhat loosely confirmed these details based on things they've teased, but the setting still remains a mystery.
Even though a Battlefield 6 reveal and even an alpha are expected soon, that hasn't stopped fans from pouring their energy into finding any clues as to what the game is about. YouTuber DANNYonPC made a short video (via GamesRadar) noting that there are some numbers on a character's nose in the super brief "teaser' for the game. If typed in as coordinates on Google Maps, it points to Kazakhstan. Could it be a coincidence? Maybe, but there's more.
There's also a skin in Battlefield V called Eidolon which gives the player a medallion with some roman numerals on it. If these roman numerals are typed out as coordinates, they also place users in Kazakhstan. The country is massive, so it's not entirely impossible that the numbers just happened to line up in the same country, but it also isn't very likely. The planet Earth is incredibly large as well, and for the coordinates to match up like that would make for an incredible coincidence. EA is pouring a lot of resources into Battlefield 6, not only to ensure it turns out well when it releases this year, but also seemingly to build up hype before its spring reveal.
The country, most famously known for birthing the fictional journalist known as Borat, has a mostly friendly relationship with the United States. Battlefield's modern day-based titles have never directly applied any historical events and instead uses the contemporary setting as a foundation to build fictional stories. It's unclear if the new game will just have sections based in Kazakhstan or if it'll be entirely based there, but previous titles tend to bounce between locations around the globe. Battlefield 3, for example, went to Iran, Paris, and even New York City in its campaign. It's likely Battlefield 6 will be yet another globe-trotting adventure, as it would also benefit the game's multiplayer with a diverse set of maps.
