Fall Guys Season 4's Skyline Stumble Revealed As Chaotic New Level

Fall Guys season four is still hurtling towards release, but creators of the vibrant, online obstacle challenge revealed today that the game’s next chapter will include several totally new levels. The social media post even gave fans a quick glimpse of the (literally) electrifying zone called Skyline Stumble. Currently still chilling in its third, winter-themed season, Fall Guys announced the game’s upcoming futuristic facelift only a few weeks ago and promises to release more information on the release date soon. Despite the lack of information on the season’s launch, the battle royale for bumbling, virtual beans seems happy to feed fans new information about what to expect.

Last week, Mediatonic, the game’s developers, unveiled four new looks coming in the sci-fi season four. The diverse group of skins will allow players to dress the game’s bean competitors up as things like a suited-up governmental agent – complete with alien companion – and a shining disco ball. To commemorate the now-disbanded Daft Punk, one of the game’s concept artists, Kian Kiani, shared a vision of what the musicians might have looked like as one of the game’s wobbly contestants. Though not an official costume, it is marvelously on brand for Fall Guys’ incoming season.

Today’s season four reveal comes straight from the Fall Guys official Twitter account and showcases the highlights of one of the seven new levels coming to the game. Skyline Stumble, as the area is aptly named in the message, appears to be a rigorous course made for up to sixty players. Several obstacles in the neon-bathed level are displayed in a short video attached to the post. It focuses on the mayhem that fans have come to expect from the game as the poor, determined beans are mowed down by electrified swinging bars, confounded by disappearing floors, and catapulted by “Flippity Bippities.” The post also warns of features like low gravity, forcefields, and big red buttons.

While the news of the game’s next big update was still flying around, Fall Guys fans were hit with an unexpected bombshell: Mediatonic had been acquired by Epic Games. Both the Fortnite creators on Mediatonic assure fans that the deal will benefit everyone, giving Fall Guys access to more resources for the game and making Epic the steward of yet another popular title.

Fall Guys’ fourth season looks like it will be a step up from past updates with more levels and fun costumes galore. The developer promises that nothing in the game will change because of the deal with Epic, but it seems clear that the company is putting its new resources to work. This may be a particularly good time to show off for Mediatonic since the game will be coming to Xbox and Switch sometime in the summer.
