Homelander & Maeve Encourage Good Behavior In The Boys Season 3 PSA Posters

Homelander and Maeve encourage good behavior in The Boys season 3 PSA posters. The Amazon Prime original hit series ended its second season last year and filming for The Boys season 3 began last month. The season 2 finale ended with a lot of possibilities for season 3, including Queen Maeve's (Dominque McElligott) decision to blackmail Homelander (Antony Starr) over the airplane tragedy from the first season.

Queen Maeve was on a personal mission to take Homelander down in season 2. Her motivation was keeping her girlfriend Elena (Nicola Correia-Damude) safe after Homelander threatened her life if Queen Maeve didn't comply with his demands. Starlight (Erin Moriarty) later begged Queen Maeve to testify against Vought International to help take Homelander down in the season 2 finale, but Queen Maeve initially refused. Later, she showed up in the middle of the fight between the Boys and Stormfront and saved Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), Ryan (Cameron Crovetti), Starlight, and Elena from Homelander's wrath by threatening to release the footage of the airplane accident if Homelander didn't leave them all alone. Clearly, Homelander and Maeve will be a big focus of season 3 since they are still at odds.

The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke has been releasing images and photos from season 3's filming on his Twitter page. Kripke's latest post featured some ironic PSA posters from Queen Maeve and Homelander encouraging people to be more respectful and positive. Check out the hilariously tone-deaf posters below.

Homelander's poster is especially hypocritical, given how he's actually the most sadistic, non-considerate character in the entire series. Queen Maeve isn't exactly the best representative for her poster's message either, but she does tend to make the right choice when things come down to the wire, particularly if it helps the love of her life, Elena. McElligott even said last year that she hopes Queen Maeve and Elena reunite in season 3. While some tantalizing season 3 tidbits have been released, any future beef between Homelander and Queen Maeve remains a mystery.

Knowing how things go in The Boys, things will likely get even bloodier from this point. However, social satire has always been a big part of the show. Other marketing material for season 3, such as images from a pink gun show and posters for an in-universe Dawn of the Seven movie, prove that this type of satirical comedy will still be a big part of The Boys season 3. The first two seasons managed to perfectly combine comedy and action, and these posters for season 3 hint that will be the case a third time around.
