Radke sat down and revealed that it has not been easy to travel the sober path. Many fans won't let him forget just how wild he was in previous seasons. Radke was one of the group's playboys, who left women high and dry, just like Luke Gulbranson, who was involved in a messy love triangle. Radke decided to stop drinking before the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic hit, which impacted Summer House filming. Radke then threw himself into a health journey. Season 5 filming started in the late summer of 2020, so Radke's been making changes for a while now.

Viewers watched Radke’s heartbreak during the last episode. That was when he was told that his brother had passed away.
