Waluigi & 9 Other Nintendo Characters Who Need To Be In More Games

Nintendo has a deep history, so along the way, gamers have been introduced to a plethora of intriguing characters. Of course, there are the faces of the franchise, such as Mario and Link, but it also simultaneously has a spectacular group of supporting characters, too. The games tend to feature many of them alongside their top guns, however, even so, it's clear that there are other characters that the franchise does not utilize enough.

It would be challenging to use every character from a series in every game. However, there are some characters that the company seems to try to eliminate from gamer's memories, even if they are awesome. Perhaps in future Nintendo games, fans could see them more often, as it's clear that their presence is missed and they are generally underappreciated.

10 Waluigi

Waluigi is a character who never seems to get to reach his full potential. This is because he is often left out of the group, even though he is Wario's best friend and closest ally.

The biggest snub in Nintendo's history also involves him, as he is not a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo even adds insult to injury by choosing Piranha Plant, yes, Piranha Plant, over him.

9 Funky Kong

Funky Kong makes a big name for himself in Super Mario SluggersHe is a member of the Donkey Kong series, sure, but it would be great if the company would put him in more sports games, at least.

He is a true athlete and just fun to use in any context. In fact, given his intriguing personality, it would be nice to have him have his own game again. Perhaps he could save Donkey Kong from King K. Rool.

8 Toadsworth

Toadsworth is a pretty big part of Super Mario Sunshine, but his importance seems to decrease each year. This is a shame, as he is quite humorous.

When it comes to Mario adventures, Toad is always present, so there is no reason not to use Toadsworth more often. Better yet, expanding his role to one of higher prominence would be great to see, too.

7 Captain Falcon

Captain Falcon is a great character in the Super Smash Bros. series, but other than that, he is not seen very often. The F-Zero series has not made a game since 2004, and a future one is nowhere in sight at this juncture.

He is not even featured in the Mario sports games either, which is disappointing. For such a fan-favorite character, his appearance outside of Super Smash Bros. is essentially nonexistent.

6 Wiggler

Wiggler is one of the most unique foes in Mario games, as his evilness seems to stem from an anger problem. When he is not provoked, he is actually rather sweet, as his appearance effectively displays.

Wiggler's battles with Mario in games such as Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine are definitely memorable, but they are decreasing in recent games. In a future Mario adventure game, Wiggler needs to be a bigger part of it.

5 Donkey Kong Jr.

Donkey Kong Jr. is Donkey Kong's son, but he is never really used in any games where he makes cameos today. He essentially has become overshadowed by Diddy Kong, so it is hard for him to fit him in games now.

Yet, given the fact that there are so many side series from Nintendo, it is wild that he is not used in many sports games. It would be amazing to have him and Donkey Kong reunite in a prominent way in future Donkey Kong Country installments.

4 Ness

Ness is another prominent character in Super Smash Bros. However, aside from that, he is not seen very much at all these days. He, of course, is the protagonist in the classic game, EarthBound, but is essentially nonexistent elsewhere.

The latest time he makes an appearance in a video game out of the Smash series is in Mother 3, which was released in 2006. Therefore, it's fair that he warrants a new game of his own, or at least, far more appearances in new ones.

3 Tumble

Tumble is a one-hit-wonder character, as after being the host of Mario Party 3, he vanishes in Nintendo history. He is a cute, little guy that definitely is entertaining. Yet, the company just has gotten rid of his character completely.

He makes very small cameos in some later Mario Party games, but his presence is barely noticeable. He is a character that is not known to people who not played Mario Party 3, so it is clear that he deserves some spotlight for once.

2 Professor E. Gadd

Professor E. Gadd is one of the biggest characters in Luigi's Mansion, as he assists Luigi with fighting off the ghosts. However, his appearances in other series are very limited, which is just not fair.

He is honestly such an underrated character, as he is not only extremely intelligent, but his mannerisms also help enhance his hilarity. He does not even make it into future sports games, even though he is a prominent figure in Nintendo's history.

1 King Bob-omb

King Bob-omb is a very memorable part of Super Mario 64. He is the boss that Mario has to fight to obtain his first star and even has the entire level named after him. However, since the game, he is an enemy that barely shows up elsewhere.

He can be seen in small cameo roles in some games, but he is never that large villain presence again. It would be awesome to see him seek revenge on Mario in future games.
