WandaVision: The Main Characters, Ranked By Likability

March 5th, 2021 marked the ninth and final episode of WandaVision, Marvel's expensive and ambitious series that melds the classic half-hour TV sitcom format with the grand-scale superhero spectacle the studio is most known for. According to MCU President Kevin Feige, the series is not yet guaranteed to continue on with a second season and beyond.

While the series revolves around the mysterious identities of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and her husband The Vision (Paul Bettany), the show is enlivened by a series of supporting characters with equally surprising alter egos. Although they're all interdependent, some are far more pleasant than others.

8 Director Tyler Hayward

In many ways, S.W.O.R.D. Director Tyler Hayward (Josh Stamberg) is one of the chief antagonists of the series. Not only does he attempt to prevent Wanda from regenerating her beloved Vision for his own monetary preservation, but he also tries to penetrate The Hex in order to subdue Wanda's power.

In a mid-credits scene following the series finale, Hayward is arrested by police, solidifying his criminal behavior as the most detestable of the lot.

7 Darcy Lewis

Although she is a brilliant astrophysicist working on behalf of S.W.O.R.D., Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) comes off as a snarky, stoic, and smileless character who makes no attempt to ingratiate herself to the audience or the other characters.

Lewis's main objective in the show is to figure how what The Hex is, who's controlling it, and how to prevent the people of West View from incurring harm. However, she fails to realize that Wanda is not the one responsible for the sinister phenomena occurring in West View.

6 Jimmy Woo

In stark opposition to Darcy, FBI Agent and S.W.O.R.D. employee Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) is silly, smiley, and self-deprecating in a way that makes his personality very appealing. His non-threatening demeanor and easygoing attitude also make him more trustworthy than other characters on the show.

Agent Woo is also a likable figure due to his professional mission of thwarting Wanda's ill-perceived ploy to control the citizens of West View, making him one of the intentionally good guys on the show.

5 Pietro Maximoff

Much like every character on the show, Pietro Maximoff (Evan Peters) is full of deceit. Under the control of Agnes, actor Ralph Bohner poses as Wanda's brother Pietro when he arrives in town.

Before Pietro's true identity is unveiled, he plays the coolest character on the show. He takes Tommy and Billy under his wing, takes them trick-or-treating on Halloween, and shows them his supreme speed ability. When Pietro turns out to be a victim of Agatha's witchery, he becomes an even more sympathetic character.

4 Agatha Harkness

Despite her witchy nature, the biggest laughs in the show come from Agnes (Kathryn Hahn), AKA Agatha Harkness, Wanda and Vision's nosy neighbor who can't butt out of their personal affairs. Until she reveals her true nature in the seventh episode, Agnes is affable, quirky, hilarious, and almost impossible to dislike.

Employing a broad, over-the-top style of acting perfectly suited for TV sitcoms, Agnes has the funniest quotes and facial expressions on the show. She's made even more likable by her ability to help nurture Billy and Tommy, even if she turns out to be Agatha, the villainous mastermind behind it all.

3 Monica Rambeau

Outside of events depicted in The Hex, Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) is arguably the main protagonist of the series. Her mother founded S.W.O.R.D. and she assumes the mantle of deducing the nefarious plot that threatens the wellbeing of Westview citizens.

Monica is first introduced as Geraldine, Wanda's neighbor inside the sitcom world. When Wanda discovers Monica's true identity, she kicks her out of The Hex and allows her to reconnect with her past, refocus her present-day mission, and attempt to thwart the evil inside and outside The Hex.

2 Wanda Maximoff

Although much of the show paints Wanda as a manipulative, mendacious, monotonous mother trapped in various sitcom tableaux, her ultimate sacrifice to revive her beloved Vision and protect her children makes her more appealing than most.

Until her true nature as The Scarlet Witch is revealed, Wanda is depicted as a dishonest control freak who kidnapped Vision from S.W.O.R.D. headquarters before holding Westview denizens hostage. In the end, Wanda's loving nature eclipses the perceived bad she inflicted upon the townsfolk as she saves Vision and their twin boys' lives by defeating Agatha by using her magical runes. Despite her likability in the series, The Scarlet Witch's antagonism will be explored in future MCU lore.

1 The Vision

Vision is the most likable character in the show, mainly due to his unique nature as an automaton bioweapon who has the ability to be a loving husband and father. He's also painted as the primary victim in the show, having been killed and reanimated by his beloved wife.

Whether cracking jokes in human form or showing his vulnerable side under the visage of a red and silver cyborg, Vision is the character the audience is asked to care for the most and root for his safety at every turn. In the end, Vision repays his wife's favor by saving Wanda's life from an attack by Agatha.
