Although Angelina Pivarnick was only part of a few episodes throughout the original Jersey Shore series, her time on the show brought her a lot of stress. This stress ultimately played a part in her having a miscarriage back in 2011. Despite the negative impact the show seemingly had on her life, Angelina ultimately returned for the show's spin-off series in 2018. She, along with the rest of the cast, just finished filming the second half of season four at a winter resort in Pennsylvania.
Angelina was only in a handful of episodes of the original series. By the third episode of season one, the Shore Store owner, Danny, sent Angelina home after she refused to work at the store. At the time, the cast was required to work in order to stay at the shore house all summer. Angelina returned for the cast's trip to Miami in season two. However, she left that trip early as well. To fans' surprise, Angelina has stuck around for the entirety of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation thus far. In doing so, Angelina has brought about a majority of the drama seen on the show.
Angelina's short time on the original Jersey Shore series seems to have brought her more stress than viewers may have thought. According to Monsters & Critics, Angelina blamed the show for the miscarriage she had back in 2011. She claims the show brought her so much stress, which in turn caused her to have a miscarriage. At the time, Angelina guest-starred on the Fox talk show, Father Albert. During the interview, Angelina revealed her pregnancy loss. The "extensive media attention" brought about by the show was the culprit behind the stress Angelina was dealing with at the time.
In the 2011 talk show appearance seen above, Angelina explained she did not necessarily want people to know about her pregnancy. She said, "Basically I wanted it to be my personal business and it really wasn't." As soon as the tabloids got a hold of the news, there was nonstop talk about Angelina in the media. Angelina described dealing with the headlines as "really hard." It brought her much stress which, she feels, led to her losing the baby. When asked if the "harassment and constant attention had something to do with it," an emotional Angelina was quick to respond, "Definitely."
At the start of 2021, ten years after Angelina's miscarriage, the Jersey Shore star posted a fake ultrasound photo on Instagram which led fans to believe she and her husband were expecting. However, the photo ended up being a part of a clickbait article. Fans were quite disappointed in Angelina, calling it "disgusting." It was seen as offensive to those who have dealt with miscarriages or fertility issues. It is surprising Angelina would do something like this, considering she herself has dealt with a miscarriage in the past. But Angelina is known to have no mercy when it comes to clickbait. The photo was deleted shortly after being posted.
