Madison Hildebrand joined the cast of Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles for its first season in 2006. He was a full-time cast member during the first six seasons, but was later demoted to a recurring role for seasons seven and eight. Madison came back full-time for seasons nine and ten before officially leaving the show at the conclusion of season 10. The real estate agent no longer felt the show was adding joy to his life, so he decided to quit and focus on other matters.
Those who have been long-time viewers of MDLLA will remember Madison for his friendship with Heather Altman and for selling luxurious Malibu homes. Besides the cameras catching him sell some of the most fabulous properties in the Los Angeles area, Madison was often bickering with his rival, Josh Altman. After Josh began a relationship with his friend and co-worker Heather, Madison felt even more animosity for Josh. Since then, the three have buried the hatchet. Madison and Heather may no longer be friends, but they do not harbor any ill will towards each other.
What has Madison been up to since he left MDLLA after season ten? After retiring from the show, Madison decided to take a trip to Fiji and Tonga, with plans to focus now on building his own real estate firm, The Malibu Life team. He also wants to start a family. During an interview with Distractify, the former reality star spoke about his want for a serious relationship and a family. "I’m at that stage of my life where a family is something that I would like to do sooner than later," he revealed. "And I’m now single, and so I’ve got time to have a serious relationship without the cameras infringing on my personal life." Madison may still be on the lookout for the perfect guy, but his real estate business is thriving.
Madison's success was shortly followed by some tragedy. After fleeing from the terrible wildfires in California, the real estate agent suffered a serious injury and had some issues with his two Dobermans, Maya and Prince. The injury Madison endured happened while he was cooking in the kitchen. He did not notice his dog, Prince, under his feet. When he turned, he almost tripped over the pup. To avoid injuring his dog, Madison fell, but the knife in his left hand caused some serious damage. After noticing something was still bothering him, he got a CT scan and found out the bone had died inside his hand. Madison had to undergo a complex surgery to mend his bones, which was performed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, according to Cheat Sheet. To fix his hand, doctors had to remove bone from his hip to replace the dead bone in his hand.
Beyond his hand injury, Hildebrand also had to deal with the loss of his two beloved dogs. Maya died of severe heart issues in 2019, while Prince passed in February after Madision discovered he had cancer. Since leaving Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles, Madison has been through quite a bit of tragedy, but he still appreciates every moment of life. He had a rough 2019, but 2020 was much better for Madison, despite the global pandemic.
