Avatar: Last Airbender TikTok Shows Neat Ba Sing Se Google Easter Egg

A recent TikTok video revealed a surprising Avatar: The Last Airbender Google Easter egg. Fans of the series remember it for its strong character development, relatable lessons, and strong writing. The series, which is still frequently rewatched by fans on Netflix, is still discussed in extreme detail, with viewers finding more to love in each re-viewing.

The Easter egg revealed in the video relates to Ba Sing Se, the capital of the Earth Kingdom highlighted in the series' second season. Viewers of the series remember Aang and friends arriving to the Earth Kingdom capital in order to search for his missing bison, as well as talk to the king about the Fire Nation's growing war effort. Aang was shocked to learn that the king was unaware of the war due to a plot made by his Grand Secretariat, Long Feng, with the aid of the capital's police force known as the Dai Li.

In a TikTok video made by Joel Katz (jjkittyfilms), he shows that when "war in Ba Sing Se" is typed into Google, the search engine asks if "there is no war in Ba Sing Se" was the intended search. The search also featured an image of Joo De for Katz, which some remember as the tour guide assigned to keep tabs on Aang and his friends to restrict their attempts to talk to citizens about the war. Katz also claims he is not the first to discover this, having seen the trick featured on a different users TikTok. Check out the image below:

This is not the first time Google has done something of this nature for fans of a franchise. In the past, Google gave Android phone users a Harry Potter Easter egg, allowing these users to turn on their phone flash light when they said, "Ok Google, Lumos." As the Avatar universe continues to expand, Google thought it would be fun to give another fandom something they can enjoy. This may only be the first for Avatar: The Last Airbender, but only Google knows how many more may be waiting in their searches to be discovered.

With new content in development for both Netflix and Paramount Plus, audiences have even more reason to give the series another watch to see if they are able to catch what they missed the last time they viewed it. Although it's not clear what this new content will focus on just yet, many are hoping to see proper live-action re-imaginings of the stories the original cartoon portrayed, in addition to the creators' new expansions to the universe. While waiting for everything to be released, fans should continue their search to see what other Easter eggs they are able to find. One never knows what form they may come in, or around what corner they may be found next.
