Amid Kim Kardashian's divorce from Kanye West, romance rumors between her and rapper Drake have started to surface, and daytime talk show host Wendy Williams is the first to fuel chatter about the Toronto native and Keeping Up With the Kardashians star. The allegations come as insiders share details of the alleged budding romance between Kanye and model Irina Shayk.
It has been three months since Kim filed for divorce from the rap/fashion mogul after nearly seven years of marriage. The date for what would've been their seventh wedding anniversary recently passed and Kim was seen attending a party with the wealthy elite. In the weeks after the split, sources for Kanye shared that he was actually the one who initiated the divorce from the reality star. Insiders also claimed the Yeezy founder was looking to date an artist next so that they could "speak the same language." Kim has remained mum on their split, but it could be because someone new has been keeping her company.
Over the week, the Wendy Williams Show unearthed claims of Kim and Drake looking cozy at Kendall Jenner's launch party for her 818 Tequila brand. “The rumors have been for years that they have been dating or hooking up or whatever," Wendy told her audience. "Well, they arrived separately to Kendall’s tequila party. Kendall has a tequila and she just launched it. Kim arrived separately in a Yellow Cab, while Drake arrived separately, as well.” She went on to dish on sources claiming the rapper and SKIMS founder were "all over each other inside the party."
However, Wendy explained why she feels Drake isn't ready to date a woman of Kim's stature, saying he has “a lot of growing up to do to catch up with a woman.” She called out Kim's current divorce and “a bunch of children and a full career and she’s older than him…no,” she added. “You know what I think this was? A slide by…I think they could have fun, they can watch TV and so on and so forth. I don’t believe this is a real relationship. You believe what you want," Wendy declared. Drake has spent time with the Kardashian-Jenner family and has even attended family dinners.
While he has been linked to Kim's sister Kylie Jenner, nothing ever became serious between the two. If the rumors are true, Kanye would not be happy. He has had an ongoing rap feud with Drake and even took to social media to call out Drake over his beef with Kanye's artist and close friend, Pusha T. The scarred history between Kanye and Drake could make this situation extremely messy.
