Uncharted 4 On PC Seemingly Confirmed In Sony Finance Presentation

A section of Sony's newest financial presentation indicates that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will eventually make its way to PC, similar to Horizon: Zero Dawn and Days Gone. Upon announcing the Days Gone PC port in February, PlayStation CEO and President, Jim Ryan, teased that more exclusives from Sony's first-party stable would also migrate to PC. The executive unsurprisingly never divulged which titles the company had in mind.

Fans of the brand and pundits quickly began making best guesses. God of War is a popular theory; the same goes for FromSoftware's Bloodborne, an experience that players hope will receive an update of some kind in the near future. Regardless of the ongoing rumor and speculation, though, Sony has remained silent on the matter, all while the brand itself continuously becomes more PC-friendly. Over this past weekend, for example, PC players discovered that Metro Exodus: Enhanced Edition supports haptic feedback via the PS5's DualSense controller. Evidently, PlayStation isn't finished spreading its wings.

This evening, Niko Partners Senior Analyst Daniel Ahmad shared slides from Sony's latest investor presentation. A section dedicated to PlayStation Studios' "Off Console" endeavors makes quick mention of the gaming sector's mobile and PC ventures. That segment is further broken down into a column designated, "More PC releases planned." Within said column sits the Days Gone logo, as expected, alongside the logo for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. No other PlayStation titles appear in this specific area of the document.

In many respects, Horizon: Zero Dawn's and Days Gone's PC ports were a no brainer. Most notably, both are new properties that have no barrier of entry in terms of established lore. Uncharted 4 is a different beast entirely, with four entries preceding it - PlayStation Vita's Uncharted: Golden Abyss included.

There could be another reason Sony wants to ensure a wider audience can get its hands on Uncharted, though. And the answer may very well lie in the Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg-starring Uncharted film, which hits theaters in early 2022. Reports of a new game could also act as an impetus for Sony to get the series to a wider audience. If the fourth mainline installment's PC version is real, there's no telling when Jim Ryan and Co. will lift the veil.
