Juliana Custodio and Michael Jessen appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 7 and we're here to share all of their relationship highlights. They've had one of the most successful 90 Day Fiancé relationships. When fans first met Michael and Juliana, red flags were waving in the breeze. Viewers had a lot of doubts about this pair. Connecticut resident Michael, 43, was rich and divorced, with a profitable wine business. Juliana was just 23 and an up-and-coming Brazilian model. The chemistry between Michael and Juliana was evident, but fans wondered if she was in it for the cars and the credit card. However, Michael and Juliana have shown nothing but love and support for each other since their October 2020 wedding.
Among the new couples that 90 Day Fiancé season 7 introduced, Michael and Juliana were controversial. This was mostly because of their massive age gap of nearly 20 years. A lot of franchise fans wondered if Michael and Juliana’s relationship was fueled by Juliana's need for money and desire for a Green Card. The subject of a prenup was broached and caused tension. Also, the fact that Michael was still close friends with his ex-wife Sarah seemed odd. However, viewers had a change of heart when Sarah officiated Michael and Juliana's fairytale wedding during the 90 Day Fiancé finale.
As Michael (@michael_jessen_77 on Instagram) sped into the 90 Day Fiancé world in his expensive sports car and revealed that he worked with wine and traveled around the world for a living, he also talked about Juliana. He met her at a big yacht party that his friend threw in Croatia. This was back in July 2017. When Michael saw Juliana from Brazil for the first time, he felt like they were “kindred spirits.” While he started off thinking that Juliana was very sexy, with an amazing body, he soon appreciated other things about her. They got to know one another and Michael realized that she was funny, thoughtful, and smart. He was amazed that she was so young due to her maturity. Michael knew that people would pass judgment on him, and think that he was “just an old, sleazy, rich guy, going after a young, hot woman.”
Michael and Juliana said goodbye to each other then, but he pledged to make her life comfortable. He let her use his credit cards. Michael owned up to doing that so he wouldn't lose her. He tried to get her to come to the US, but her visitor visa was denied. There was some suspicion that Juliana had “nefarious intentions.” Michael realized that a K-1 visa was their only option. Michael also thought of moving to Brazil for his 90 Day Fiancé partner. However, ultimately, he couldn't say “sc*ew it” as his two kids Max and Cece were living in America.
While Juliana’s K-1 interview was “bad” as she was presumed to be involved in “illicit activities” and a human trafficking ring, she did get approval. She arrived in Greenwich and Michael made the occasion special by giving her champagne, flowers, and a $4,000 necklace. As Juliana met Michael’s family, Sarah suggested that she shouldn't overload herself with too much responsibility while she adjusted to her new life. Around that time, it was revealed that Juliana was married once before for four months. She was pressured into marriage at the age of 17. Julia also revealed that she and Michael had split up for three months in 2018. She felt like a “loser” for needing to depend on him financially.
Her mindset meant that Juliana wasn't comfortable inviting her family to her wedding with Michael, which took place on 12 October 2019. “It’s more perfect than I could ever picture perfect being,” Michael told cameras. Their appearance on the show has led Michael to slam the TLC franchise plenty of times. Juliana has gone out of her way to prove their love is real. The fashionista is now thriving in her modeling career. While critics don't stop doubting their relationship, Michael and Juliana keep living their 90 Day Fiancé success story, year after year.
