Popular 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem has been shouting from the rooftops that her husband Michael isn't supporting her during her weight loss surgery journey, and there are some clues that he might not love his wife. 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6 began on a hopeful note for Angela, who wanted to welcome Michael to the USA with a younger look and skinnier body. However, Angela revealing her weight loss operation wish to Michael led to rejection. Michael even told the cameras about a possible divorce. Over time, Michael and Angela’s marriage seems to have grown weaker. In episode 8, she revealed that he triggered her to smoke a pack of cigarettes in one day.
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6 episode 8 saw Angela a month after her liposuction, gastric sleeve, and breast reduction procedures. The Meemaw revealed that she was already down 40 pounds after starting out at 273.5 pounds. Angela also admitted to trying everything in the book to quit smoking, from patches to gum to medicine. However, the fact that she was not getting emotional support from Michael “at all” over the prior five months was troubling. He was not even answering her calls as she healed from surgery. The 90 Day Fiancé franchise star claimed that “ all of Michael’s bullsh*t” was making her “smoke more.” Some fans lashed out at Angela for calling Michael her “trigger” for smoking.
While Angela has been smoking for over 40 years, compared to the 32 years that 90 Day Fiancé husband Michael has lived on the planet, she does seem to be telling the truth about him being non-supportive. In HEA season 6 episode 1, Michael hinted at wanting a baby rather than focusing on Angela's health. He surely knows she may be too old to "tote" one. Michael’s top priority right now is to become a father, which is why he’s so frustrated about still living apart from Angela. Angela spending $25,000 on her facelift alone was a shocker to Michael, who even gossiped about it with his family. They agreed with him that the money should have been spent on attempts to have a baby instead.
Although his desire for a baby didn’t really raise an alarm about Michael not loving Angela, his obsessiveness about her breasts surely did. The Nigerian man was upset about Angela getting breast reduction surgery, so much so that her surgeon Dr. Michael. K. Obeng had to intervene. Michael revealed that her chest had attracted him since day one. This led fans to wonder if that was all that attracted him to her. Furthermore, Angela trying to make Michael jealous about Dr. Obeng “medically massaging” her chest did not incite jealousy as she had hoped it might. It was hinted by 90 Day Fiancé that Michael cared less about Angela’s health risks (a very large chest can cause health issues, such as back pain), and more about keeping his “playthings.”
When Angela started dating Michael, she suspected him of scamming her. There was their large age gap and the issue of him being Nigerian, as Nigeria was deemed, “the scam capital of the world” by Angela. Michael had cheated on Angela previously, and her putting a tracker on his phone on Happily Ever After? was a sign that the Nigerian "big booty girls" teased in the trailer might be a problem. Angela fears Michael may leave her for a younger woman when he comes to America and gets a Green Card. That made her think about losing weight.
