The Marionette Core is a new item introduced in version 1.6 of Genshin Impact. This guide will show players how they can obtain it and explain what its purpose is. Genshin Impact is currently hosting its Midsummer Island Adventures where players are able to take to the high seas using their Waverider. Along with this event comes the Golden Apple Archipelago which is a new set of islands for players to explore. With every event, players are able to complete a set of new missions that take advantage of the new mechanic introduced in the game. The Marionette Core is one of the new items introduced in this event and is insanely valuable for those who have Kazuha. This guide will show players what this item does and how to obtain it.
The Marionette Core functions as an ascension item for Kazuha to help him level up. While Kazuha is currently unavailable in the main game, he is scheduled for release on June 30th. This 5-star character will need to be pulled from the Wish banner if players are lucky enough to unlock him. This system is completely up to chance and places the player's Primogems on the line. The Marionette Core is only available as part of the Golden Apple Archipelago. This guide will show players where they can find them.
Players will be able to locate the Marionette Core as part of the Golden Apple Archipelago. After completing the first three acts of the Midsummer Island Adventure, players will be able to take on the Maguu Kenki. Players will be able to find this boss located on a small island to the east of Broken Isle and to the northwest of Pudding Isle. Players will need to be Adventure Rank 30 in order to spend the Resin required to claim the reward blossom. Regardless, the Marionette Core will drop upon defeating the Maguu Kenki.
Since the Golden Apple Archipelago is part of this seasonal event, it will be moved with a future update. This means the Marionette Core will be relocated to a different location for players to find. This will likely be the mainland of Mondstadt since these as a core part of the game. Regardless, players will need to collect as many Marionette Cores as they need to fully level up Kazuha. This ascension item will likely be connected to another character in a future banner.
