In Genshin Impact, some rare ingredients can have some spectacular effects, such as the Lotus Head. A few remote and secluded places have a few Lotus Heads here and there, but there are some time-saving ways to acquire them as well. There are some health benefits and crafting recipes that will be invaluable to any adventurer to have while traveling the map.
The Lotus Head in Genshin Impact is a cooking ingredient used for crafting Desiccant Potions and Streaming Essential Oils to help with Hydro damage. Some characters already have Hydro's ability, such as Mona, Barbara, Tartaglia, and Xingqiu. Using the extra Hydro boosts will let already existing Hydro characters become more powerful, especially if there are two in a group called Elemental Resonance. Elemental Resonance can be a game-changer when done right, providing party boosts for all the different elements. Cooking the Lotus Head and other ingredients will create health-restoring foods like Universal Peace, Jewelry Soup, and Jade Parcels.
The description of Lotus Heads says that they are near lakes and river banks, so let's start the search there. Where to go is going to be another story, but to make it easy, a great place to find Lotus Heads is in the area of Windwail Highland. To be more specific, in Windwail Highland, there a location called Dawn Winery with a lake nearby to the South and West of it. Follow the lake to the West, and in the lake, there will be some lily pads.
Lily pads will always be a clue to where the Lotus Heads are as they stand among them. They are few and far between, though, which means some pretty long runs between each. Also, look on both sides of the lake for the tell-tell lily pads, which are the constant clue to finding them. Another great place to get Lotus Heads is on the West side of Luhua Pool, where again, the lily pads will guide players to them.
Climb in each pool to find them as they can be in various places in and around the pools. An out-of-the-way method to get Lotus Heads is to speak to Katheryne in Mondstadt at the Adventurers' Guild Reception desk and dispatch a character on an expedition. For example, pick the Liyue region and do the Guili Plains or Dunyu Ruins expedition, where Lotus Heads get awarded upon completion. The longer the time of the expedition, the more Lotus Heads are collected.
