I Think You Should Leave Season 2 Video Reveals July Release

Netflix's acclaimed sketch comedy show I Think You Should Leave season 2 will release in July, as revealed in a new video. Starring co-creator and SNL alum Tim Robinson, season 1 of the show debuted in April 2019, winning over viewers with its surreal take on mundane topics like gift receipts and office in-jokes. While Robinson was certainly front and center in most of I Think You Should Leave's bizarre sketches, Cecily Strong, Andy Samberg, and Oscar-nominee Steven Yeun were among the many memorable guest stars who appeared in the show's debut season.

Now, Netflix has released a video promoting season 2 of I Think You Should Leave. Featuring Robinson and frequent collaborator Sam Richardson (Veep), who also appeared heavily in season 1, the video finds the duo singing a medley peppered with references to season 1 over  guitar accompaniment. Played largely straight, the mini-concert concludes with the show's trademark self-flagellating awkwardness before the premiere date of July 6 flashes on-screen. Watch the video in full below.

While some of the medley's references such as "Friday night" and "baby of the year" may be instantly recognizable to I Think You Leave viewers, other prominent callbacks are slightly more obscure. The lyrics "Moon River rock" and "Palm tree girls, palm tree guys" buoy two hopeless dreams of superstardom in the show's Laser Spine Specialists ad, while "Are you ready for this?" soundtracks from the infamous TC Tuggers commercial. If the teaser video is any indication, there should be plenty more cringe-inducing musical performances to love in I Think You Should Leave season 2 when it releases later this summer.
