The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson has shared a rare photo of her children on social media. The singer got her start in the entertainment industry after winning the very first season of American Idol back in 2002. She went on to have massive success as a recording artist and has won three Grammy Awards. In 2018, she joined The Voice as a coach. During the most recent season that ended this spring, she sat alongside Blake Shelton, John Legend and Nick Jonas. Aside from The Voice, her other job on TV is her successful daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, which recently wrapped its second season and won three Daytime Emmy Awards, including for Outstanding Talk Show Entertainment and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.
Clarkson married Brandon Blackstock in 2013, and they share two children together, River and Remington, born in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Unfortunately, Clarkson and Blackstock, who became her manager, separated in 2020. Clarkson was the one who ended up filing for divorce. But it has not been a clean process for the estranged couple. Various accusations have been thrown each other's way. The management company owned by Blackstock's father sued Clarkson for money allegedly owed to them. The singer filed her own lawsuit, claiming Starstruck Management Group broke the California Labor Code. Earlier this month, The Voice coach requested that a judge approve her divorce.
Clarkson recently took her children on a trip to Walt Disney World. She shared a photo on Instagram in which she, River and Remington are posing in front of a bunch of Star Wars Stormtroopers. In her post, Clarkson said, "All the rides were amazing but oh my gosh, y'all, Pandora and the Star Wars rides are where it's at!" She thanked Disney for the "magical vacation." While fans have seen pictures of Clarkson's children before, and they have appeared on her talk show, it's rare for her to post a photo of them on social media. Her Instagram page, for example, tends to focus on the various projects she's working on, like The Voice and her talk show.
River and Remington have made some appearances on The Kelly Clarkson Show. In 2019, they stopped by to ask Jason Momoa some questions because they are fans of his film Aquaman. Last year when Clarkson was doing her show from home during the height of coronavirus pandemic, River crashed her interview with comedian Bill Engvall.
Despite rarely showing photos of her kids on social media, Clarkson obviously couldn't help herself in this instance. It's clear that River and Remington had fun during their vacation to Disney World, especially with her son extending his arms out like he's showing off the "magical" destination he's at. It will be interesting to see if Clarkson starts sharing photos of them more often, or if she'll continue keeping them off social media for the most part. Either way, it's great that Clarkson is able to fit in a vacation in between her many jobs. She'll be back at work at the end of the month to film the Battles for The Voice season 21, which will see pop superstar Ariana Grande joining the coaching panel.
