How to Save Your Game in Glitchpunk | Screen Rant

Saving is vital for progressing in Glitchpunk. Glitchpunk is a title that expects players to die a lot. The game offers multiple different weapons, Modules, and vehicles to interact with, potentially leading characters to their instant death. It's part of the open-world nature the Grand Theft Auto series, Glitchpunk's direct inspiration, is known for.

While players have infinite freedom to do everything they want in Glitchpunk, it does come with a price. During gameplay, dying will cause the player to lose progress if they are not careful. Learning how to save the game will save players minutes to hours. This guide will show players how they can save their game in Glitchpunk.

Glitchpunk is not a game that features autosave, meaning if players want to save their progress, they will need to do it manually within the game. This is especially important for players who just completed an incredibly difficult mission. Gang hideout locations are vital in titles like Red Dead Online, and Glitchpunk expands on this idea to make hideouts function as save points. Still, the lack of autosave functionality does make it so players have to play a bit more conservatively to survive.

The only places for players to save progress are in Glitchpunk's safehouses, or, Hideouts. Players can open their map and find the Hideout icon in their current location. Players should head to this location after every mission to prevent progressing too far without saving.

At any point, players can pull up the map and set up a waypoint to lead to the location of a Hideout. Players will be able to spend the night at the Hideout. If they quit and relaunch the game later, they will spawn in the Hideout with all progress up to that point saved.

Fortunately, the area surrounding the Hideout includes shops for players to purchase additional HP and weapons. It's highly recommended to stock up and re-save before jumping into the next mission. Players can even take on a headhunt mission that will provide extra cash and XP.

While most modern titles feature their own form of an autosave, it's a bit unfortunate to see a title like Glitchpunk not have one. Different things to destroy a player's save data happen all the time, and losing progress can be frustrating. It can be a drag to head to the Hideout every chance the player will want to save. Hopefully, an autosave feature is introduced as Glitchpunk progresses through Steam Early Access.
