Southern Charm alum Ashley Jacobs has given birth to her son, Grayson Maxwell. Viewers may remember Ashley for her relationship with former cast member Thomas Ravenel and her volatile actions towards the mother of his two children, Kathryn Dennis. Ashley accused Kathryn during their cast trip to Hilton Head of not wanting to see her children and even called her an "egg donor" at the season 5 finale party.
Ashley and Thomas were no longer cast members on the Bravo series after allegations of rape against Thomas surfaced. However, Ashley did appear in a couple of episodes, but the cast was not receptive towards her. She first appeared at Eliza Limehouse's gathering at her family's home and started having verbal altercations with everyone there. Ashley later called up Naomie, who recently split from her boyfriend, Metul, to bury the hatchet, but Naomie wasn't fully buying her apology.
On Tuesday, Ashley announced on Instagram that she gave birth to her son. "The happiest, most surreal and exhausting weekend of our lives. Our baby boy is here. It's hard to put into words how I feel because 'in love' feels like an understatement. God is good," Ashley wrote, alongside a photo of her holding her son on her chest. She welcomed her baby boy with her husband, Mike Appel, with whom she tied the knot on June 5. The couple shared the happy news on their respective Instagram pages alongside several images with their baby boy, with the location tagged as Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.
Ashley, who revealed two big life milestones in June, opened up to People about her pregnancy news and how her due date was the same day she and Mike met two years ago. "It's wild how the universe works," she said with excitement. Ashley and Mike met in 2019 at a summer rooftop party in her hometown of Santa Barbara. A few months later, she decided to make their relationship Instagram official. "Found someone close to my own age!!" Ashley joked in the caption. In March, the new mom opened up about their engagement, which took place while on a snowmobile ride in Park City, Utah. Mike got down on one knee after a year-and-a-half of dating Ashley, whose ex Thomas recently welcomed a son, and decided to ask her to be his wife. She, of course, said yes, and the pair was married just a few months later in a private, intimate wedding ceremony at an unknown location.
Ashley has clearly moved on from her days on Southern Charm and is now enjoying life as a mother and a wife. A family is something Ashley has always wanted and has finally found that with Mike. It seems she dodged a bullet when she and Thomas ended their relationship during season 6.
