Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update To Add Brewster Soon, Says Leaker

Details from a Nintendo leaker indicate that a major update is in the works for Animal Crossing: New Horizons that will supposedly bring Brewster to the title. New Horizons hasn't received an update of consequence for quite some time, leaving many fans curious as to when something of note will finally emerge.

Brewster counts among the most requested of hopeful additions. A well-dressed pigeon who owns The Roost cafĆ©, this particular character debuted on the Nintendo DS' Animal Crossing: Wild World in 2005. He's appeared in many Animal Crossing titles in the years since then, always available to serve those in need of a good cup of Joe. It's no wonder, then, that Brewster's absence in the latest entry has been felt throughout the Animal Crossing community. To the delight of many a fan, datamined details from several weeks ago hinted the character and his cafĆ© would eventually debut. Now another leak has apparently added credence to said findings.

On top of the aforementioned datamined information, the above Brewster-related leak does sound promising. But, as is always the case, it's best to take rumors and speculation with a pinch of salt. As of writing, Nintendo has not officially hinted at Brewster's return in a November update.

Nintendo released Animal Crossing: New Horizons over a year ago on the Switch to widespread acclaim from critics and players alike. Its popularity has continued to soar for months on end, with the most recent sales data showing the title at over 35.9 million copies sold as of March 31, 2021. Its fast approaching Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which counts as the Switch's best-selling title to date at a whopping 37-plus million units sold worldwide. By year's end, New Horizons could very well take the lead.
