Bachelor In Paradise: Are Chris & Alana Still Together After The Show?

After they departed the show on rather dour terms with the other cast members, Chris Conran and Alana Milne have elicited one question from Bachelor in Paradise fans: are they still together? Viewers have also wondered if their makeout session was worth the drama it caused for Alana and Chris, as well as their fellow cast members. The pair disrupted a happy balance on the show when celeb host Tituss Burgess was present during week three.

Chris was dating Jessenia Cruz on the show, and they seemed to have a strong bond going. Then Alana appeared, and Chris kissed her while Jessenia was watching. The other cast members expressed their displeasure about this, for Jessenia’s sake. Joe Amabile and Riley Christian confronted Chris about his actions. Jessenia also put in her two cents, telling Chris that she’s not stupid and he shouldn’t be trying to use self-pity to avoid the consequences of his actions. They told him to leave the island, and Chris asked Alana if she would come with him.

At the time, Alana refused because she didn’t want to be part of a committed relationship. Alana left anyway because she had earned the other cast members’ ire. Meanwhile, Chris’ mistakes failed to endear him to Bachelor in Paradise viewers. Alana later confirmed on Instagram that she and Chris did not have a romantic relationship before the show after many questioned their history.

However, their relationship after the show is a bit more complicated. Social media shows little interaction, although the two are Instagram mutuals. Alana lent some clarity to where they currently stand when she appeared on a September 8 episode of Bachelor Happy Hour. She revealed to Becca Kufrin that Chris has been "a really big support system" since their time on the show came to an end. What's more, Alana confirmed Chris has taken her "on a bunch of dates.

In the present, Chris has acknowledged his blatant disrespect” of Jessenia. In the episode, however, Chris tried defending his actions as putting in one hundred percent effort into the relationship with Jessenia without it paying off for either of them. Joe and Riley tore into that, pointing out that the pair seemed pretty strong before Alana walked onto the scene. They asked if he knew about honor and honesty with his partner.

The makeout session on the dance floor was the real dealbreaker. Jessenia put it best: “You literally told me, word-for-word, that you were not going to choose Alana over me, and that’s what you did.” Chris dug himself in deeper by saying he wasn’t sure he had declared that. Producers did promise this season of Bachelor in Paradise would have drama, and viewers certainly saw that in the confrontation. Chris didn’t exactly display the best reaction to being accused of cheating on Jessenia. The others said they wouldn’t have been happier but more accepting if he had been honest. His attempts to deflect ended up hurting him more, as well as Alana. However, based on her comments, it seems the two were able to salvage some sort of relationship.
