Fortnite: How to Destroy IO Intel (Week 13 Challenge)

Players will need to destroy IO Intel for a Week 13 challenge in Fortnite. The entire season has been about taking down IO Guards and all of their defenses. With season 7 coming to a close within the next few weeks, players are attempting to clear out their battle pass before it's too late. Completing Epic, Legendary, and Wild Week challenges have always been the best way to gain enough battle stars. Players looking to unlock Rick Sanchez in Fortnite will need to hurry since he rests on the final page of the battle pass.

This is one of the weekly challenges that requires players to complete a prerequisite before it can be unlocked. In order to unlock the IO Intel challenge, players will need to complete these 2 challenges.

  • Repairing IO Equipment Locations: Located in Craggy Cliffs, Stealthy Stronghold, and Misty Meadows. Players just need to find the transparent screens and interact with them.
  • Building Structures at Corny Complex: Players need to build 25 structures of either wood, stone, or metal. This challenge carries over between games so players don't need to do them all within a single match.

With these challenges completed, players should now see the option to destroy IO Intel in their quest log.

This challenge can be difficult if players don't know where to look. Many players will also be attempting to complete this challenge so be wary of the surroundings. Here is where players can find the IO Intel.

While there are multiple locations to choose from in Fortnite, players only need to grab 1 of them. Players will be able to find the IO Intel inside of a large metal camper to the northeast of Corny Complex. Players can complete this challenge in the normal battle royale mode, but they will have a much easier time if they jump into Team Rumble. This mode allows players to respawn once they die, saving the player tons of time if they die while en route to the IO Intel. Regardless, players should land near the area to grab some weapons, shields, and materials before heading to the camper.

The camper itself will have a grill and port-a-potties on the outside. To finish this challenge, just head inside to find the intel on the ground to the right. Approach it to interact and destroy it. Completing this challenge will reward the player with 30,000 XP towards their battle pass. This is fairly average for Epic and Legendary quests and should be completed as soon as possible. Season 8 will likely begin on September 18th, leaving players limited time to finish what they need to.
