How to Unlock the Return to Sender Trophy in Kena: Bridge of Spirits

The 'Return to Sender' trophy can be difficult to unlock in Kena: Bridge of Spirits. For players looking to get the most out of this new linear action-adventure game for their PlayStation 5, looking directly at the trophy list is the best way to go about doing that. While many of the trophies can be unlocked naturally by progressing through the story, only a handful require players to complete specific tasks to unlock. In the case of the 'Return to Sender' trophy, players will need to kill a Mage enemy with their own bomb.

Players will begin to encounter the Mage enemy as an overworld mini-boss. They appear shortly after Kena unlocks the ability to use her bow. The Mage can be incredibly dangerous, making it more difficult to kill it with its own weapon. In order to complete this challenge, players will need to find a way to steal the Mage's bomb and fling it back before it goes off.

Players will want to complete this task the moment they encounter their first Mage. This is because Kena: Bridge of Spirits makes it much more difficult to encounter Mage's the closer the player gets to beating the game. It ties to the game's narrative of clearing out the mountain of all of its parasites. Upon encountering the Mage, this is what players can do to unlock the 'Return to Sender' trophy.

For starters, Bridge of Spirits players will need to take out the Mage's minions the moment they are summoned. They will attack Kena, but she can use her staff or bow abilities to take them out quickly. Doing this will help to focus on the Mage directly. Continue to battle the Mage until it is close to losing all of its HP but do not kill it.

The low HP will cause the Mage to enter its desperation mode. Back away from the Mage and wait around until it summons its bomb in its hand. After the bomb appears, line up Kena's bow and aim directly for the bomb to make it explode.

Combining this with the low HP, and the damage from the blast will cause the Mage to die. This will unlock the 'Return To Sender' trophy. Players who have already cleared the game are better off starting a new save file and investing the time to encounter new Mages. This is just one of the many challenges waiting for players in Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
