The seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race aired in March 2015. Although released nearly seven years ago, season 7 saw some of Drag Race's most legendary queens make their Werk Room debuts, such as Ginger Minj, Katya, and Trixie Mattel, and launch their drag careers into stardom.
In fact, most of the queens from season 7 have managed to make a name for themselves on the show, even if their screen time was brief, thus helping their career after their time on Drag Race in some way. From releasing fragrances to voiceover work, these season 7 queens have kept busy with no signs of stopping.
14 Violet Chachki
Crowned the winner of season 7, Violet Chachki was a consistent competitor during her time on Drag Race. She was most renowned for her stunning burlesque-style looks, including a cinched-in waist so small it made the judges gag.
Although she hasn't been involved greatly with Drag Race since crowning season 8's winner, Bob the Drag Queen, Violet had had an extremely successful career since winning the show. She was part of an international burlesque tour with the legendary Dita Von Teese, attended the Met Gala in 2019, and became the first drag queen to be part of a major lingerie advertising campaign. She also recently did a podcast with season 13 runner-up Gottmik called "No Gorge."
13 Ginger Minj
As one of the most iconic queens from the Southern states, runner-up Ginger Minj has become something of a Drag Race legend. With a stellar performance during season 7, including a brilliant Snatch Game performance as the singer Adele, Ginger Minj ended up appearing on not only one but two seasons of Drag Race All Stars, finishing as a runner-up on the sixth season.
Ginger has had just as much success outside of Drag Race as well as on her seasons. Since Drag Race, she has released three albums, played Lemon Chiffon in the animated series Super Drags, and has recently landed a deal to publish her first book, Southern Fried Sass.
12 Pearl
Pearl got off to a shaky start on the seventh season. But after a very stern warning from Mama Ru, Pearl soon got her head in the game and ended up becoming the second-runner up of the season.
In 2015, Pearl is the first Drag Race queen to release a fragrance and she also released an album called "Pleasure." However, according to Gay Times, because of an incident during the filming of her season, which was the reason behind her initial lack of enthusiasm, Pearl is not expected to be invited to appear on a future season of All Stars.
11 Kennedy Davenport
Semi-finalist Kennedy Davenport was a well-rounded contestant during her time on season 7 and All Stars 3. One of her most notable moments was breaking grounds on season 7's Snatch Game by being the first queen to impersonate a male celebrity. This was one of the best Drag Race performances seen on the Snatch Game, and it secured her a joint win with Ginger Minj.
An established pageant queen before Drag Race, Kennedy continues to take part in pageants as well as drag tours and shows. She released her first single "Moving Up" in 2018, which featured rapper Dresia Dee.
10 Katya
Another Drag Race legend to emerge from season 7 was Katya. Voted Miss Congeniality of the season and finishing as runner-up of All Stars 2, Katya was a firm favorite for viewers and judges and entertained with both humor and excellent runway looks.
Katya has done a number of projects since Drag Race, a number of them with fellow season 7 queen Trixie Mattel. Together, they have co-hosted a web series, a podcast, collaborated on a make-up collection, and have written a book together. Katya has also created a number of solo web series and filmed her first live stand-up show "Help Me, I'm Dying" in 2019.
9 Trixie Mattel
Fellow Drag Race legend Trixie Mattel initially finished eleventh on season 7 but won a place back in the competition during the "Conjoined Queens" challenge and ended up coming in sixth. She then went on to win the third season of All Stars.
Along with various projects with Katya, Trixie has found success as a country musician and released her first album Two Birds in 2017. She had since released two more albums (with a third to be announced), starred in various comedy tours, and launched her own line of cosmetics.
8 Miss Fame
Although a frontrunner in the seventh season, Miss Fame, unfortunately didn't win a maxi challenge and finished in seventh overall after losing a lip-sync against Pearl. Regardless, this has not stopped Miss Fame's success after their time on Drag Race.
Right after season 7, Miss Fame launched their debut single "Rubber Doll," one of the best songs to come from a Drag Race queen, launching a successful music career. Miss Fame was also recently a guest judge on Germany's Next Top Model.
7 Jaidynn Diore Fierce
Jaidynn Diore Fierce finished in eighth place on season 7 of Drag Race. While she also didn't win any maxi challenges, Jaidynn showed promise before becoming a lip sync assassin, sending home two queens consecutively before being sent home herself by Ginger Minj. Jaidynn continues to perform drag shows and has a drag daughter called Venus Ann Serena.
6 Max
The youngest queen on the seventh season, Max was a relatively quirky queen and showed some promise early in the show. She won two maxi challenges overall, including one as team captain, and she bought some unusual yet high fashion looks for the runway.
Unfortunately, it was her poor impersonation as season 4 winner Sharon Needles that landed her in the bottom two and she was sent home by Jaidynn. Max ended up dropping drag as a career in 2018. Aside from her Twitter account, not much is known about what she has been up to since.
5 Kandy Ho
Kandy Ho finished in tenth on season 7 of Drag Race. Due to her positions in the challenges on the show, it's fair to say she hasn't been the strongest queen to appear on Drag Race, finding herself in the bottom three times before being told to sashay away. AIn addition to her appearance on Drag Race, Kandy Ho competed in The Switch in 2018, where she finished in eighth overall.
4 Mrs. Kasha Davis
As one of the oldest Drag Race queens, Mrs. Kasha Davis already had years of drag experience under her belt before appearing on season 7. Because of her strong performance on Drag Race, Kasha's elimination is considered one of the most unfair, according to Reddit users.
But this shock elimination didn't deter her career. Kasha frequently performs with Drag Race queens Pandora Boxx and Darienne Lake and has made appearances across film, television, and web series. Her most recent notable endeavor was a documentary called Workhouse Queen, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2021.
3 Jasmine Masters
Despite being the third queen eliminated in season 7, and an equally brief appearance on All Stars 4, Jasmine Masters has become something of a Drag Race icon, and one of Los Angeles' most iconic queens, but not for anything she did on the show.
After Drag Race, Jasmine launched a video in 2016 criticizing RuPaul and the show. As a result, Jasmine went viral and it landed her her very own web series called Jasmine Masters' Class, which premiered in 2018. Jasmine has also become an internet meme in 2019 with a clip known as "And I Oop."
2 Sasha Belle
Now known as Frisbee Jenkins, Sasha Belle was the second queen to be sent home. The second challenge was to lip-sync a pre-recorded flight video, and Sasha, after placing low in the first episode, found herself in the bottom two against Katya.
This didn't seem to dampen her spirits. Since Drag Race, Sasha Belle has hosted her own drag show called Sasha Belle's Drag Race. Taking place at Studio 13, the bar Sasha co-owns, Sasha Belle's Drag Race was aimed at Iowa queens and ran for nine seasons and three All Star seasons.
1 Tempest DuJour
Although the first queen to be eliminated on season 7, Tempest DuJour currently holds a Drag Race milestone as she is currently the second oldest queen ever to appear on the show. Against some tough competition, Tempest perhaps wasn't quite given the chance to shine on Drag Race. Regardless, she still seems to enjoy a successful drag career, winning Tuscon Weekly's Best Drag Queen five years in a row.
