Former 90 Day Fiancé cast member Geoffrey Paschel's father has been accused of assaulting a minor. This news comes after Geoffrey was found guilty of aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault. The 44-year-old is now incarcerated in Knox County Jail until his sentencing hearing on December 3, 2021. TLC viewers first met Geoffrey in February 2020 when he appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4 with Varya Malina. But fans soon learned about his domestic violence allegations, which got him uninvited from the Tell-All episodes.
Since then, Geoffrey and Varya kept their relationship under wraps, claiming they were under contract with TLC. However, as soon as Geoffrey was found guilty, Varya posted all of their never-before-seen pictures on Instagram. She urged 90 Day Fiancé viewers to help Geoffrey by donating money to his family. While many fans were satisfied with the jury's decision, the Russian native thinks that her on-screen fiancé didn't get justice. Even after the guilty verdict and a massive backlash from fans, Varya is still supporting Geoffrey. She continues to post lovey-dovey pictures with him and asks fans to help.
Angry fans have now found out the criminal history of Geoffrey's alleged father, Bobby Dean Paschel. A 90 Day Fiancé fan page shared Bobby's offender ID and the charges against him. The Tennessee sex offender registry revealed that 67-year-old Bobby was arrested on October 10, 2008, for assaulting a child of a "different sex." The criminal history stated that the "aggravated sexual battery" happened on January 31, 2007. Bobby must have been 52 years old when he assaulted the minor victim. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans are shocked to learn that Geoffrey's alleged father also has a horrible assault history. A fan felt disgusted and commented, "What a family of sick-os!" Another fan claimed that Geoffrey's brother is also a convicted criminal. The fan alleged, "I think he went to jail for robbing a bank or something? I can't quite remember." Someone else chimed in, "Robbed a bank in a motorcycle helmet. His name is Nick, I believe." A few fans also accused Geoffrey's elder son of hitting a woman. Other 90 Day Fiancé viewers are calling out TLC for not checking their cast members' criminal history.
The network should have done a thorough background check on Geoffrey, at least for the safety of its own production team. Since he is a violent man, he could have hurt someone else while filming. It seems like the network intentionally cast the now-convicted criminal Geoffrey because they may have thought he would be dramatic and aggressive, which would boost their ratings and viewership. The network didn't invite him to the reunion episodes only after a lot of viewers signed a petition to ban him from the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off.
