Hawkeye arrives on November 24, 2021, and will feature six episodes, with the finale coming right before Christmas on December 22. This also plays well with the trailer, as it shows the new MCU series takes place over the holidays. With the trailer, there are several actors announced for the Disney+ Marvel series, including no less than four Marvel heroes.

Updated on October 31, 2021, by Shawn S. LealosHawkeye is arriving just in time for the holidays, and the trailers promise a festive superhero tale. In this latest series, Clint Barton takes on a new hero to mentor in Kate Bishop, a teenage archer arriving on the scene. Since the release of its trailer, Marvel revealed a few more actors for the Disney+ streaming series. This includes the return of Hawkeye’s family as well as one of the most popular characters from Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye comics with Lucky the Pizza Dog. There is also a chance that some special cameos could arrive from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including a possibility of some new debuting characters that fans have been waiting for.

12 Linda Cardellini / Laura Barton

The trailer for Hawkeye showed a quick look at Linda Cardellini returning as Laura Barton, Hawkeye's wife in the MCU. Much of the humor in the trailer comes from Clint telling his wife that he will be home soon and then ending up in more danger.

Cardellini made her first appearance as Laura in Avengers: Age of Ultron where the Avengers first learned Clint had a hidden family. She returned for a small bit at the end of Avengers: Endgame as well. Fans might remember Cardellini from her role in the cult classic TV show Freaks and Geeks, as well as playing Velma in the live-action Scooby-Doo movies.

11 Ava Russo, Ben Sakamoto, and Cade Woodward / Lila, Cooper, and Nathaniel Barton

Not only is Linda Cardellini coming back as Laura Barton, but his entire family will return. It was the death of Clint Barton's family after Thanos's snap that drove Hawkeye over the edge and turned him into the bloodthirsty Ronin.

The return of Barton's children, played by Ava Russo, Ben Sakamoto, and Cade Woodward, was confirmed thanks to set photos released from the Disney+ series. This would be the first appearance of any of the characters since Tony Stark's funeral in Avengers: Endgame.

10 Jolt / Lucky The Pizza Dog

One of the most popular characters from Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run is a dog named Lucky the Pizza Dog. This dog once belonged to a gangster who was part of the Tracksuit Mafia. Clint was kind to the dog and Lucky paid him back by helping him by attacking a Tracksuit Mafia member. As a result, the gangsters tried to kill him.

Clint took the dog to a vet and saved him and then adopted him as his new dog. Lucky got his full name because he loves pizza. Lucky will appear in the movie, portrayed by a golden retriever named Jolt.

9 Jeremy Renner / Hawkeye

Jeremy Renner returns as Hawkeye in this Disney+ series. Hawkeye is Clint Barton, a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who had a hidden wife and family back home.

He made his debut in Thor before appearing in three of four Avengers movies, including a dark turn in Avengers: Endgame as Ronin, an assassin. In the Hawkeye Disney+ series, he will take on the role of mentor to the next hero to take on the role of Hawkeye, Kate Bishop.

8 Hailee Steinfeld / Kate Bishop

Hailee Steinfeld stars as Kate Bishop in Hawkeye on Disney+. She is a 24-year-old actor, who achieved critical acclaim for her role as Mattie Ross in the Coen Brothers adaptation of True Grit, earning an Oscar nomination for the role. In Hawkeye, she will portray Kate Bishop.

In the comics, Kate is the daughter of a wealthy man and wants more with her life. She takes on the role of Hawkeye after the world thought Clint Barton was dead. She was also one of the founding members of the Young Avengers.

7 Vera Farmiga / Eleanor Bishop

Vera Farmiga will appear in Hawkeye on Disney+ as Eleanor Bishop. Farmiga is an Oscar-nominee, who attained a nomination for her role in the 2009 movie Up in the Air with George Clooney. However, many people may know her better as Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring movies.

In the comics, Eleanor was revealed to be Kate's mother. Kate thought her mother was dead, but it turned out that she was alive and hiding, directing the evil Madame Masque against her own daughter. Eleanor will likely be a villain in the series.

6 Fra Fee / Kazi

Fra Fee will star in Hawkeye as a character known as Kazi. Fee has a list of credits that includes the movie Les Miserables and the live-action Cinderella movie, which hits in July 2021. In Hawkeye, he will likely be a villain for Kate Bishop and Clint Barton.

Kazi is short for Kazimierz Kazimierczak - an assassin in the comic books known as The Clown. His parents died when he was a child, and his friend died a short time later, which led Kazi to find a new occupation in killing people. He was hired to kill Clint Barton, and the trailer sees him walking with the assassin Echo.

5 Tony Dalton / Jack Duquesne

Tony Dalton is best known in the United States for his role in Better Call Saul, where he stars as cartel boss Lalo Salamanca. Outside of three episodes of Sense8, the rest of his credits are mostly Spanish-language movies and TV shows, such as Sr. Ávila and Dueños del Paraíso.

In Hawkeye on Disney+, Dalton stars as Jack Duquesne. This is almost surely Swordsman, a man who helped mentor Hawkeye when he first started learning the ropes as an archer. He was mostly a villain in comics but had moments of heroism as well.

4 Zahn McClarnon / William Lopez

Zahn McClarnon stars in Hawkeye as William Lopez. In the series, he plays the father of Maya Lopez, who was named Willie Lincoln in the comics. In the comics, Willie worked for Wilson Fisk as an enforcer, but Kingpin ordered his murder and then took in Maya and trained her into becoming an assassin.

There are rumors that Vincent D'onforio will return as Wilson Fisk in the MCU and could make his debut here in Hawkeye. For now, that is a rumor, and all that is known is that McClarnon will play William. McClarnon is best known for roles in Longmire, Fargo, and Westworld.

3 Brian d'Arcy James / Unknown

Brian 'Arcy James has been cast in an unknown role in Hawkeye in Disney+. James is mostly known for his roles on Broadway, where he starred in both The Ferryman and Hamilton. He also appeared in 13 Reasons Why and starred in the Oscar-winning drama Spotlight.

While no one knows who he is playing in Hawkeye, Kate's father, Derek, has not been cast yet. Derek is a wealthy philanthropist who is distanced from his daughters after the death of his wife. With his Broadway background, there is also a chance he is part of the Steve Rogers Broadway play shown in the trailer.

2 Alaqua Cox / Maya Lopez

Alaqua Cox will make her debut in Hawkeye as Maya Lopez. This is a big role, as Maya is the assassin known as Echo, a woman who eventually takes on Clint Barton's old role of Ronin in the comics. As already mentioned, Wilson Fisk took her in as a child after he had her father killed and then trained her to become an assassin. However, she eventually turned on him after finding out the truth and became a hero.

Lopez also has a big impact in the Marvel comics as she is one of the few deaf superheroes. She first appeared in Daredevil comics, with her character's abilities to operate as a trained assassin contrasted to Daredevil's crimefighting skills as a blind man. Both characters proved to be equals, using their other heightened senses in battle and developing a respect for one another through battle.

1 Florence Pugh / Yelena Belova

Florence Pugh made her MCU debut in the 2021 theatrical release, Black Widow. Pugh starred as Yelena Belova, another Black Widow operative and a close partner of Natasha from years before. By the end of the movie, she met up with Countessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and was told Clint Barton was the reason Natasha died.

It appears that Yelena is taking on the same role she did in the comics when she becomes the new Black Widow in the MCU. Whether she succeeds in her mission for Valentina or lets Clint live, Hawkeye should reveal the direction her character takes in the future.
