Welcome To Plathville: Micah Opens Up About Moving To Los Angeles

Micah Plath opened up about moving to Los Angeles in a recent Instagram post, after Welcome To Plathville’s season 3 finale. It appeared that the older Plath children were going to move to Tampa together, after Ethan and Olivia finally decided to leave their hometown of Cairo. But in a strange twist, it was revealed that Micah had already left for Los Angeles.

Many fans are concerned for Micah’s safety and well-being. The model was sheltered as a child, living with parents Barry and Kim, who didn’t allow the children to socialize with peers who didn’t have the same faith and values. One of the fears is that Micah might get taken advantage of in the City of Angels, because he often believes in the best in people. Viewers were also hoping to see the three older siblings together in the next season. The show’s greatest scenes often involve the dynamics of Ethan, Micah, and Moriah, who all share similar frustrations about how they were raised.

Now, in a recent Instagram post, Micah opened up about his move to Los Angeles. He posted a photograph of himself with his siblings, along with a caption that revealed how sad he was to no longer be living in the same place as his family. He also explained certain aspects about the “big move.” He said it was an adjustment to experience some of the differences, like paying more for gas or making new friends. But he feels he’s looking at things “with a different perspective,” and now he fully understands how small the town of Cairo really is. He ended the post with an invitation for his siblings to come visit him.

Many fans wonder how the next season of Welcome To Plathville will play out, now that Ethan and Olivia (working on their marriage) will be living in Tampa. For the last three seasons, it was easy to film the quirky family, because they were all so close together. Perhaps a part of the show will be centered in Tampa, where Moriah also lives.

Some viewers were also hoping the season would end differently, concerning the storyline between Ethan and his parents. Fans seemed to want a perfect ending, after almost two years of discord. At the end of season 2, Ethan and Barry got into a heated fight in the driveway, after Ethan went to the house to say goodbye to his younger siblings (when he still thought he was going to move to Tallahassee).

The relationship never fully recovered, which was evident in an episode of Moriah’s first gig. She couldn’t invite her parents because her sister-in-law Olivia was uncomfortable with the situation. Barry and Kim showed up anyway, of course, which caused a huge disagreement with Ethan, who ran around the parking lot to find their hideout. Although the older siblings will be living far away in season 4 of Welcome To Plathville, perhaps the family will somehow be able to find peace again.
