Avengers vs. X-Men Movie Imagined in Awesome Fan Posters

Marvel Studios will soon have access to the X-Men and new fan-made posters highlight the potential of an Avengers crossover. Twentieth Century Fox has had the big screen rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four for the last two decades. In that time, they've made a number of films in their franchise, but one aspect that fans have been longing for is a major crossover with other Marvel properties. Since Fox never quite got the Fantastic Four right, they never appeared on the big screen with the X-Men, while the "rivalry" between the studios stopped any larger crossovers with the Avengers from happening.

Now that Disney is in the process of acquiring Fox as a whole, Marvel Studios will finally have control over the X-Men. Although no plans for their introduction have been announced or even discussed, fans are already dreaming of what it will be like to see some Marvel heavyweights appear together in a live-action setting for the first time.

BossLogic shared his take on the eventual crossover with mocked up designs for an Avengers vs X-Men movie. The teaser poster has the Avengers "A" in the middle with a larger X-Men logo behind it, while the three claw marks across tease the involvement of both Wolverine and his Adamantium claws. When it comes to the other poster design, BossLogic shows Iron Man landing on the ground with what appears to be a destroyed Avengers tower around him. And based on Magneto's helmet, it would appear he is responsible.

This movie may just be a dream for fans right now, but something like Avengers vs X-Men will surely happen in the future. As Marvel Studios figures out how to bring these characters into the MCU in Phase 4 and 5, conflict will undoubtedly rise between the various superhero teams and what they stand for. Marvel Studios already pitted Iron Man and Captain America against each other in Captain America: Civil War, so over time another split between heroes could be the catalyst for such a blockbuster event.

Before this theoretical movie can happen, though, Marvel must first establish the X-Men in the MCU. They may already have a built-in secret weapon to do so if they make Scarlet Witch the first mutant. From there, they'll still need to form the X-Men, grow them as characters, and more before they think about how they can make them fight whatever Avengers are left. Unless Avengers 4 doesn't kill the original Avengers, then this exact fan-poster won't happen. Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man is one of the most popular candidates to die, so he may never have the chance to battle Magneto. As disappointing as that may be for some, the MCU is loaded with heroes who could be better equipped to battle the brilliant mutant in such a crossover.
