The House with a Clock in Its Walls is a kid-friendly supernatural horror movie based on the children's book of the same name, but does it have a post-credits scene teasing a sequel based on other books in the series? The title kicked off what would become a 12-book series of children's stories centered around Lewis Barnavelt and his family and friends. The most recent Lewis Barnavelt book was released in 2008, but since Bellairs passed away in 1991, author Brad Strickland took over co-writing then sole writing duties with the fourth book. While half of the books featured illustrations from Gorey, other illustrators also lent their talents, including Mercer Mayer and S. D. Schindler. Now, the books live on in live-action thanks to Roth's adaptation of The House with a Clock in Its Walls.

Those checking out The House with a Clock in Its Walls now that the movie has been released in theaters may be wondering if the film has an after credits scene to stick around for. While The House with a Clock in Its Walls doesn't have a post-credits scene, it does have something fun after the credits for viewers who watch through to the very end of the movie.
The film's end credits feature illustrated images based on key characters or aspects from the story - like the friendly easy chair and the winged lion topiary. It seems to be a nod to Gorey and the other illustrators who worked hard to provide etchings for the Lewis Barnavelt books.
