A new set photo from the untitled Men in Black spinoff has been released, featuring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. The upcoming film will be the fourth Men in Black movie to date, with the previous three films starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
It's been six years since Men in Black 3 came out, and the fourth film's production is finally picking up serious steam. After the release of the third film, Smith was unsure about Men in Black 4, and thought that three movies was enough for him. Later, it was revealed that Sony wanted to make a Men in Black and 21 Jump Street crossover. thanks to the Sony hack that leaked a lot of their upcoming plans. Many fans were puzzled as to how Sony was planning to bridge these two seemingly opposite series, but Sony eventually gave up on the idea, and moved forward with an MIB franchise spinoff. It was announced earlier this year that Chris Hemsworth would be leading the spinoff, along with his Thor: Ragnarok co-star Tessa Thompson. With the film now in production, a new set photo of Thompson and Hemsworth has surfaced online.

Posted on Hemsworth's Twitter account, the new set photo features himself and Thompson suited up in the classic white dress shirt and black tie. The photo doesn't really reveal anything about the plot of the upcoming film, but it does show Hemsworth and Thompson in their costumes, with the crew setting up equipment in the background. Hemsworth also uses the hashtag "revengers4life" in reference to a popular joke from Ragnarok.
Little is known about the Men in Black spinoff's plot, however, the cast has begun to fill out over the past several months. Even though Will Smith is unlikely to return to Men in Black, actors such as Liam Neeson and Rebecca Ferguson have been picked up for the spinoff. Emma Thompson will also be reprising her role of Agent O, and F. Gary Gray is also thought to be directing the film. The plot is also said to somehow revolve around London-based agents who, "become involved in a murder mystery that has them traveling the globe".
With the Men in Black spinoff slated for a Summer 2019 release, the film is less than a year away. So far, there has only been a teaser poster and a few set photos of Hemsworth suited up, but more marketing material is sure to come out in the coming months. Hemsworth and Thompson played off each other well in the MCU, so hopefully their onscreen chemistry will successfully translate over to protecting the Earth from the worst scum of the universe.
