Avengers 4 Trailer Will Arrive Before the End of 2018

Avengers 4's first trailer will arrive "before the end of the year," says Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Narrative details for the film are still being kept tightly under wraps, and considering where things ended in Avengers: Infinity War, there are several different ways that Marvel Studios could decide to cap off the 22-film overarching story that the MCU has been telling since 2008's Iron Man. However, between what's known about the film and leaked set images, the movie is expected to dabble in time travel with the original Avengers, as they try and find a way to restore peace and order to the universe (and possibly also take down Thanos), once and for all.

Due to the lack of any official update regarding Avengers 4, fans have resorted to scouring online for any possible clues as to what to expect in the film. However, if Feige's latest comment is to be believed, the public will have something concrete to scrutinize and base their theories on, what with the first Avengers 4 trailer now confirmed to arrive sometime over the next two months.

Erick Weber caught up with Feige during a special reception and screening for Black Panther and had to ask about the status of the Avengers 4 trailer. While the MCU architect didn't give a specific date, he said that it will arrive "before the end of the year" - still subjective but it's safe to say that will be released before the last two weeks of the year, at the latest. At this point, it's safe to say that it's going to be a full trailer, possibly proceeded by a short teaser confirming its release date (similar to what Marvel Studios did with Infinity War).

Most fans have probably already assumed that the Avengers 4 trailer would arrive before 2018 draws to a close, based on Feige's previous confirmation that the film's marketing campaign would begin this year. What remains to be seen, however, is the effect that marketing for the next Avengers movie has on the ongoing campaign for Captain Marvel and vice-versa. Even though the Brie Larson-led MCU adventure takes place in the 1990s, it's expected to have a major impact on the events of Avengers 4, especially when it comes to the Quantum Realm - something that should not only favor into Avengers 4, but the MCU as a whole moving forward.

It's safe to assume that Marvel Studios will announce the official Avengers 4 title alongside the trailer, if not earlier. The movie has remained untitled ever since Marvel decided to scrap its original name (Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2) and treat the third and fourth Avengers movies as individual stories, linked by the ongoing fight between Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Thanos. If Feige and his team follow a timetable similar to the one they used for Infinity War, then the trailer for Avengers 4 could drop as early as next month. The trailer may even premiere with an upcoming Disney tentpole like Ralph Breaks the Internet and Mary Poppins Return - though, seeing as Marvel Studios film trailers are events unto themselves, the preview might well arrive well before then.
