9 THE BLING RING (2013) - 5.6

Emma Watson's first significant adult role came in the 2013 crime movie The Bling Ring. The film was based on a true story about a group of people who were robbing celebrity's homes in California. In what should come as no surprise, the first movie that Emma Watson did outside of the Harry Potter franchise was an animated film. This movie allowed Watson to take on a role that didn't affect the reputation of her on-screen character of Hermione. The film was 2008's The Tale of Despereaux.

The film was a British-American film based on the 2003 novel about a young mouse named Despereaux (Matthew Broderick) who sets out to save his friend, the kidnapped Princess Pea. Emma Watson voices the princess.
