Grace & Frankie: 5 Times Grace Was Horrible To Nick (& 5 Times Nick Was Horrible To Grace)

For six seasons, Grace and Frankie fans have watched Grace grow from a cynical and judgemental woman to an open-minded and honest friend and family member. Grace's divorce from Robert was hard on her, but it was ultimately for the best considering she found her true self and is working on voicing what she really wants out of life. Her second act is nothing short of inspiring.

Fans always knew Grace wouldn't be alone for very long though. In the third season, Grace met Nick Skolka in some pretty unusual circumstances, but that business relationship blossomed into a loving one. By the end of season five, these two ran away and got married, but that doesn't mean they haven't had their problems...

10 GRACE NEVER LETS NICK SPEND THE NIGHT

Grace's complex with age is practically debilitating. Nick is in his 50's, and Grace is in her 80's, however, Nick doesn't care about age. He has always been infatuated with Grace from the moment he laid eyes on her. Regardless of Nick's true feelings, Grace practically pushes him away in the beginning.

In "The Expiration Date," Grace and Nick are now at an intimate stage in their relationship, but the thought of Nick sleeping over is too much for Grace. She doesn't want him to see her true self so she practically pushes him out of her house even though it's obvious he's with her for the long haul.

9 NICK'S COMPANY STOLE VYBRANT'S DESIGN

In "The Labels," Grace and Frankie learn that Omni Tech ripped off Vybrant's design for vibrators geared towards older women. Knowing Omni Tech's strength, filing a lawsuit against such a powerhouse would tie Grace and Frankie up in litigations for years.

Instead, they decide to march down to Omini Tech to settle it woman to man. And while the business meeting may have ended with a date, it was pretty low to rip off a design from a smaller company.

8 GRACE MOVED INTO A SENIOR CENTER WITHOUT TELLING HIM

After a few health mishaps, Grace and Frankie are convinced by their kids that they need to move into a senior living center. Both of the women are against the idea but feel the need to move there together for the sake of the other.

Grace was so ashamed of living in a home for older people that she never told Nick about the move. He had to find out on his own, and when he showed up to talk about it, Grace was so mortified that she shut him out and broke their relationship off.

7 NICK NEVER CAME CLEAN ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH MIRIAM

Nick didn't need to tell Grace that his assistant was also his ex-wife and mother to his only child, but it would have been nice to know. After being deceived by her ex-husband for years, Grace demands honesty. And although Nick didn't necessarily lie about Miriam, he wasn't upfront about her either.

Thankfully, Nick and Miriam work great as business associates but not in a romantic relationship. The reason why he didn't tell Grace is because he didn't want to fire Miriam if Grace had a problem with their working partnership.

6 GRACE LYING ABOUT WHO NICK IS TO HER FRIENDS

It gets old fast when Grace continues to push Nick away time and time again. At the beginning of their courtship, Nick was nothing but a gentleman and honest about his intentions. Grace, on the other hand, wasn't quite there yet.

After a friend of Grace's dies, she heads to the funeral with Robert. To show his support, Nick showed up un-announced, which caught Grace off-guard. She was then left lying about their relationship throughout the entirety of the funeral to her friends. When asked what Nick was to Grace, all she said was "associates."

5 NICK RUINED GRACE'S CHANCE WITH SHARK TANK

It's not every day a person's invention has the opportunity to perform on the hit show Shark Tankbut Grace and Frankie were lucky enough to sell their idea for the Rise Up.

While both women were excited about the opportunity, Nick made Grace promise she wouldn't sell the Rise Up to Mark Cuban due to bad blood between them. She hesitantly agreed and it ended up driving a wedge in Grace and Frankie's relationship, not to mention hurting their new idea.

4 GRACE INSULTED A FRIEND OF NICK'S AT A CHARITY FUNCTION

As mature and put-together as Grace is, she had a low moment at a charity even in season six. Grace and Nick were newlyweds and were using this charity event as their first outing. It would be Grace's first time meeting Nick's friends and business associates. However, when she was placed at the wives' table, she judged the group of women due to their young age and beautiful looks.

She called them vapid, and that one woman's business idea was stupid. All of these harsh words were heard by the wives and made both Grace and Nick look like fools. Grace may have said those cold words but Nick had to deal with the brunt end of it by the woman's husband.

3 NICK TREATED GRACE HORRIBLY WHEN SHE MET HIS MOTHER

After Grace pushed Nick away at the beginning of the fifth season, the thought of losing him finally hit her and made her realize she did, in fact, want to start a relationship with him. She ended him up following him on his lunch date, where she accidentally crashed his lunch with his mother.

While Grace tried playing it cool around Nick's mother, who was a similar age, Nick wasn't interested in her games. He treated Grace like she was nothing and threw her to the wolves (and by 'wolves,' we mean his mother). He then left the lunch early, leaving Grace and his mother to awkwardly sit together.

2 GRACE FORGOT ABOUT HAWAII

When Grace and Nick are married in the sixth season, Grace officially moves out of the beach house she shares with Frankie and into Nick's home. Now that they were husband and wife, Nick assumed Grace would be spending more time with him, but as it turned out, her reliance on Frankie was stronger than they both realized. Nick had romantic dates set up with Grace, and she either forgot about it or showed up late.

Hawaii is a great example of how Grace forgot about a romantic getaway with her husband because she was too busy planning Frankie's birthday. She then begged Nick for Frankie to join them on their Hawaiian getaway, which was not what Nick had in mind.

1 NICK WASN'T HONEST ABOUT HIS BUSINESS ISSUES

It's joked about often that Nick is a billionaire. He has loads of cash, a private plane, and can basically do anything he wants. But as it turns out, he may not be the smart businessman we all thought he was because he was arrested for tax evasion and security fraud by the end of the sixth season.

Watching her husband being arrested in their home threw Grace through a loop, leaving viewers curious if their marriage will last.
