Black Widow Video Shows How Taskmaster Copies MCU Heroes

A Black Widow video showing Taskmaster's copied fighting moves from various MCU heroes has been posted online. The first Marvel Studios film of 2020 is scheduled for release in a little under two months. Disney is reportedly not planning on delaying the film, despite coronavirus concerns.

Black Widow is one of the more peculiar Marvel Studios films. It is the first film of the MCU's Phase 4, but doesn't appear to be furthering the story. Instead, it is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War, but before the arrival of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity war. At the moment, it's not known if this film will have an effect on the universe going forward. Either way, many fans are excited because it is the first film to have Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff as the main character. Early box office projections predict a domestic opening of over $110 million, indicating the general public is interested in seeing more Black Widow after her demise in Avengers: Endgame. One of Black Widow's biggest aspects is the introduction of Taskmaster. This character is notable in the comics for copying other characters' fighting movements and weapons. This has translated to the character's upcoming film appearance.

Those looking to see scene-by-scene the fighting styles Taskmaster have copied are in luck. A video (via chris is nostradamus) comparing Taskmaster's copied moves to the originals has been posted on Twitter. Check it out below.

The video is quite informative, and a trip down memory lane. Taskmaster has copied Spider-Man's agility, Captain America's shield maneuvers, Black Panther's claws, and more. How Natasha will be able to overcome such an opponent remains to be seen. As shown in the film's trailers, Red Guardian will collide with Taskmaster as well.

The identity of Taskmaster is something fans around the globe are asking. The trailers give no indication who it could be. When the first trailer premiered, many (a lot jokingly) speculated Taskmaster was Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, due to the bow and arrow. But, as seen in the latest trailer, Taskmaster has weapons from different Avengers, so that theory is probably not true. It's also possible the character is completely original. In the comics, Taskmaster's identity is a man named Tony Masters. There's no reason why the film won't go with that, although the character already being established would certainly generate a lot of discussion post-release. Black Widow fans will know soon enough.
