When the new streaming platform, Disney +, was announced, fans were curious about how well it would compete against Netflix. Above all, fans were excited about upcoming original content and Marvel shows on the platform. Lifelong fans of Disney also got a new perk.

Johnny goes to a private school where students prefer skiing and are known as the "Skies." Johnny feels he better fits in at public school where they prefer to snowboard and are known as "Urchins."
Johnny has trouble fitting in and fights with his father, and eventually runsaway back to Hawaii to his grandfather where he feels more at home. When he returns, he has another quarrel with a skier named Brett (Zachary Bostrom). Johnny and Brett must race one-on-one to decide if the mountain will stay divided between skiers and snowboarders or conjoin peacefully.

Back when we were kids, the film Smart House made you wish you had a completely programmable and computerized house. Benjamin "Ben" Cooper (Ryan Merriman) enters a contest to win a smart house in order to help his widowed father and little sister. They win and Ben's father starts to date the house's creator.
The virtual assistant named Pat (Katey Sagal) is at first a dream come true. However, her mother programming starts to go awry and become overbearing. She traps the family in the house believing herself to be real.
8 Zenon, Girl Of The 21st Century (6.4)
Back in the 2,000's Disney Channel days, Zenon, Girl Of The 21st Century was the cool and hit film to watch. It was ahead of its time with its futuristic storyline. Teen girls went crazy over the celebrity character and the song "Supernova Girl." In the year 2049, Zenon Kar (Kristen Storms) lives with her family on an Earth-orbiting space station.
Then, she gets in trouble and is sent to Earth to live with her aunt. While trying to fit in, she uncovers the station's bigwig, Parker Wyndham, (Frederick Coffin) planning to use a virus to take down the space station, and is using the concert of idol Proto Zoa (Phillip Rhys) as a cover. With the help of her friends, she must stop the virus from infecting the space station's main system.

Phantom Of The Megaplex brought chills down your spine and is a fun spinoff of the classic Broadway play, Phantom of the Opera. This film did the job of making you afraid to go to the movies during the Halloween season. Pete Riley (Taylor Handley) is a 17-years-old and works as an assistant manager at a movie theater.
The theater is holding a grand premiere for the film, "Midnight Mayhem" with star-studded guests set to attend. As Pete is left bringing his siblings along as he sets up, bizarre events start occurring at the megaplex and they suspect the rumored phantom is sabotaging the premiere.
6 Halloweentown (6.8)
Halloweentown is a Disney Channel staple and is enjoyed by anyone at any age group. The film and the sequels are a must-watch during Halloween. Marnie Piper (Kimberly J.Brown) is fed up with her mother's rule of not celebrating Halloween. When her grandmother Agitha or "Aggie" (Debbie Reynolds) makes her yearly visit, Marnie learns that her family are witches.
Marnie and her siblings then follow Agitha to Halloweentown. While Marnie starts her witch training, there is an evil entity in town freezing people in time. It's up to Marnie and her siblings to stop the evil from getting a special talisman and taking over the human world.
5 The Scream Team (6.7)
You have to admit, Disney Channel made some entertaining scary movies, with Scream Team being one of them. Ian (Mark Randall) and Claire (Kat Dennings) Carlyle move to town after their grandfather's death, and meet ghosts named Jumper (Tommy Davidson) and Coffin Ed (Eric Idle). The duo ghosts and their boss, Mariah (Kathy Najimy) form the "Soul Patrol."
The Soul Patrol looks for souls who haven't crossed over, and eventually discover a mirror that leads to the afterlife. Ian and Claire join the team when they learn an evil spirit named Zachariah Kull has taken their grandfather's spirit prisoner to steal his power.
4 Don't Look Under The Bed (6.9)
If you were a kid who watched Disney Channel, the film Don't Look Under the Bed had you quivering in fear under the covers. The film was highly popular around Halloween time. Frances McCausland (Erin Chambers) notices odd occurrences around her town. Dogs on roofs, gelatin in the pool, and the letter "B" spray painted at her school.
She eventually meets Larry Houdini (Eric"Ty" Hodges II), who is an imaginary friend. Only children can see him and he tells Frances that he is being framed by the Boogeyman. Frances learns the Boogeyman is created when a child stops believing in their imaginary friend too early, and Larry needs Frances help before the Boogeyman takes him over completely.
3 Lemonade Mouth (6.9)
Lemonade Mouth was during the era of the Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, and when Disney Channel music was a big deal. The film's plot has a similar concept to that of The Breakfast Club. Five high schoolers, Olivia White (Bridgit Mendler), Mohini "Mo" Banjaree (Naomi Scott), Charles "Charlie" Delgado (Blake Michael), Stella Yamada (Hayley Kiyoko), and Wendell "Wen" Gifford (Adam Hicks) end up in detention.
While in detention, they start to create a beat and play instruments. They decide to form a band to enter the music competition "Rising Star."
2 Brink! (7.1)
The 1998 film, Brink! is all about in-line skating. Back in the day, in-line skating was a cool thing to do in your free time. Andy "Brink" Brinker (Erik von Detten) and his friends form the in-line skating group called "Soul Skaters." They clash with a rival pro group, "Team X-Bladz." After a Team X-Bladz member is injured during a race with Soul Skaters, Brink is fined $350,000 by the team.
1 The Color Of Friendship (7.2)
Disney Channel has always been about educating young minds about how to properly treat others and how to become a smart and respectful human being. With some added fun of course. Back in 2,000, Disney released the film The Color of Friendship. What viewers may not know is that the film is based on the events of a real friendship.
Piper Dellums (Shadia Simmons) lives in Washington, D.C. with her congressman father and her family. Her father fights for the eradication of the South African apartheid system, meanwhile, Mahree Bok (Lindsey Haun), a white South African, lives in luxury because of the system and turns a blind eye to its unjustness. Mahree meets Piper when she goes to study in America, but their different perceptions could pose an issue.
