In the months since the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the game's in-depth customization options have caused it to become a viral sensation. Players can personalize their characters, their homes, and their entire island to their liking. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a tremendously popular game, and it's not a title with a traditional ending. Even after players completely upgrade their house and pay off all their debt to Tom Nook, reaching the closest thing to the game's "win state," the experience doesn't end. Nintendo has promised to support Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the future with seasonal events and content patches, but it remains to be seen if it will be enough to truly keep the game alive for years to come and keep hardcore players engaged.
