Avengers: Endgame Recut in the Style of Justice League Snyder Cut Trailer

An Avengers: Endgame fan-made trailer is recut to Zack Snyder's Justice League teaser. Warner Bros. released the very first proper promo footage for the upcoming HBO Max project that will see Snyder's original vision for the 2017 movie during DC FanDome. It features mostly scenes that were cut out of the theatrical version of the movie assembled by interim director Joss Whedon.

With no Marvel movie since summer of 2019, fans of the MCU are looking for other ways to busy themselves while waiting for Phase 4 to kick-off. Black Widow was supposed to open it back in May before it was delayed to a November release date due to the ongoing coronavirus. This has resulted in a shift on their whole slate with films being pushed back in varying degrees. One favorite activity, especially by artists, is using old content from previous films in the Infinity Saga and update it with their own spin as seen in this latest trailer.

Courtesy of YouTube content creator Gugga Leunnam is a fan-created trailer for Endgame that mines inspiration from Justice League Snyder Cut's first teaser. Set to Leonard Cohen's song "Hallelujah as is the Justice League promotional video, the Marvel clip also uses footage from Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Check it out below:

Interestingly, the Endgame trailer features big spoiler moments such as the death of Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). This also parallels how the Justice League teaser was crafted, with the promotional video revealing big moments in what would be a four-part series on HBO Max. For starters, it includes Silas Stone's (Joe Morton) death, as well as, the final group shot with Superman with them after battling Steppenwolf. This makes sense considering that fans pretty much have a basic knowledge of what goes down in Snyder's Justice League narrative, but that doesn't necessarily hinder them from looking forward to seeing the final project finished when it hits the streaming service next year. Using unseen footage from the 2017 theatrical cut could also entice casual fans wh may not be up to speed with what happened to the project behind-the-scenes. Enticing them with new content would be a great way to bring them on board for the new Justice League.

As for the MCU, Marvel Studios remains to be mum about their future. Aside from the delayed films, there's also no release date set for their upcoming Disney+ series. Originally, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier should've already debut on the streaming platform already. In any case, this extended break couldn't have happened at a better timing. The Infinity Saga is finished after Avengers: Endgame and the franchise is looking to start a new narrative, the hiatus only gives them a much longer separation from each other. What's curious now is if Kevin Feige and his team are planning a similar virtual event like DC FanDome to keep their fans up to date with their plans.
