Justice League Doom Poster Reimagined With Live Action DCEU Cast

The DC Extended Universe cast becomes part of Justice League: Doom in a fan poster by artist ApexForm. The characters last came together for 2017's Justice League, though they were introduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Despite the movie's star power, Justice League didn't perform as well at the box office as hoped and was also a critical disappointment. Many chalk its performance up to the film's reshoots led by Joss Whedon, which deviated from director Zack Snyder's original vision. As more information about the plot of Snyder's version of the movie came to light, some fans began clamoring for the Snyder Cut, which would see the director's original plan executed. For many months, it seemed unlikely to ever happen, despite key members of the DCEU community, including Cyborg actor Ray Fisher, campaigning for its release.

However, surprising many, in May, Snyder announced his cut of Justice League will release on HBO Max next year. Though some information about it remains a mystery, many plot details are known thanks to teases from Snyder. The director also revealed a clip featuring Wonder Woman, as well as a shorter one with Henry Cavill wearing Superman's black suit. The first full teaser trailer for the movie will release later this month during the DC FanDome event, which should give a better idea of what the Snyder Cut will look like.

Ahead of the Snyder Cut's release, artist ApexForm has reimagined the poster for the 2012 animated film Justice League: Doom with the DCEU cast. The movie is loosely based on a 2000 storyline from the comics called "JLA: Tower of Babel." The original poster, which is also included in the artist's post, features Cyborg, Green Lantern, Superman, Wonder Woman, and, of course, Batman. As Green Lantern hasn't yet been introduced to the DCEU, ApexForm leaves him out in favor of Aquaman and The Flash. Check out the poster recreation below:

Though this fan art isn't directly related to the Snyder Cut, seeing the DCEU cast in any capacity is a good reminder of what's to come. It also shows the cast works well in any situation; it's easy to imagine them starring in a live-action version of Justice League: Doom thanks to this poster. Unfortunately, the Snyder Cut will likely be the last time this version of the DCEU's Justice League is seen together.

Though Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and The Flash all have upcoming solo movies, Ben Affleck is likely done with Batman, as Robert Pattinson will take over the role next year. Meanwhile, Henry Cavill is in talks to return as Superman, though another standalone movie isn't in the cards for now. After the Snyder Cut releases next year, fan art like this will become even more important, as it will serve as a reminder of the DCEU's original Justice League.
