The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Garcelle Beauvais' comments about Lisa and her daughters are getting some serious backlash. The actress’ disparaging thoughts have landed her in hot water with fans, but she is not apologizing.
The new girl on the block for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast, Garcelle Beauvais, has been extremely transparent about her life, which is pretty refreshing considering how notoriously tight-lipped the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills group normally is. The Coming to America actress has already stood out by calling out Kyle Richards for not getting to know her. The newest 90210 housewife is peeling back the layers, allowing fans to get to know her on a deeper level. Garcelle recently admitted she felt pressure as the first black housewife on the franchise.
Now, the actress is feeling the pressure for speaking out against Lisa Rinna, a true fan favorite. All About The Tea revealed that after Garcelle said that Lisa’s "nearly naked" videos probably contributed to her daughter’s body issues, she has not heard the end of it. Lisa even responded with her own social media post to prove a point. Check the Instagram post out below:
Even though Lisa feels no shame in her hustle, Garcelle felt the mother of two was acting inappropriately, especially since she has two daughters. During the last episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the Coming to America actress pointed out that her bikini dance videos might not be the best visuals for her two children. The housewives were hanging out when a group discussion led to talk about body image since Sutton Stracke freaked out in a dressing room for gaining five pounds. While Lisa claimed that her mother and girls think she is funny, Garcelle told cameras that "I love that Lisa’s free enough to do the videos and be dancing, but the dancing nearly naked is not a choice for me, if I had a daughter that had body issues." The comment sparked outrage among Lisa’s supports since it sounded like the newest housewife was being awfully judgmental.
Even though Lisa has not yet clapped back, Bravo fans know that, since the reunion taped, the two women have not been on good terms. Garcelle confirmed that she had not spoken to the soap opera queen and unfollowed her on social media. The issue stemmed from how Lisa spoke to Denise Richards, who is a close friend of Garcelle’s. One last thought, though: didn't Garcelle pose for Playboy? Seems to be a bit of a double standard going on around Rodeo Drive.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesday at 9pm EST on Bravo.
