Christine Quinn from Selling Sunset’s  is opening up about her recent battle with anxiety and depression. The luxe realtor-turned-reality-star is sharing how the negative comments from fans, such as death threats, put her in a dark place. From being portrayed as the villain to receiving social media hate, here’s how being a lead on Selling Sunset has intensified Quinn’s struggles with mental health. 

Selling Sunset’s Queen bee, Christine Quinn is the definition of a bad betch. The high-end realtor and leading lady of the hit reality TV show is known for her bold statements. Whether they are fashion-related or conversational, she loves to cause a scene. However, this over-the-top character has its downfalls, especially in the age of social media. Not everyone agrees with her blunt attitude, which unfortunately ends up with the star getting some not so nice comments towards her. Christine Quinn is now addressing how the recent hate mail has affected her mental health. The star reveals she has battled anxiety and depression throughout her life, and since being on the show, it’s definitely enhancing her struggles

In a recent interview with People, Christine Quinn opens up about her mental health struggles. She explained, “I know I’ve always had it, but the show definitely intensified it,” She added, “It was the show coming out and dealing with people that were so horrible to me that triggered it.” Quinn goes on to explain that the hate she received from social media due to her villain-like character on the show also affected her. She said, “It’s just the fact that it is repetitive negativity. That is really something that I don’t want to be a part of. And it’s just annoying to have to delete it... that was just for me what was overwhelming.” The starlet even went on to say that she’s received death threats since being on the show. 

So, it looks like even though Christine Quinn comes off on the show as someone who can’t be touched she is human and has feelings. It’s also nice to see that the reality star is using her platforms to speak up about mental health letting her followers know that everyone can suffer from the disease.

Rumor also has it the luxury realtor is also working on launching a lifestyle brand, which could also be a useful tool to promote positivity versus negativity.
