Sometimes millennials are nostalgic for older TV shows and other times, they want to watch something current that deals with the problems of the day. When it's time to relax and put on something funny and charming, it doesn't get much better than Younger. The popular series, which has six season so far, follows Liza Miller (Sutton Foster) as she lies about her age in order to work in publishing. It seems like she can't possibly keep her secret and half the fun of watching is seeing who knows about it and who doesn't.
From Liza's family and friends to coworkers at Empirical (later, Millennial Print), the many characters on the show are funny, smart, and they each fit into one of the 12 zodiac signs.
12 Aries: Lauren Heller
Molly Bernard's Younger character, Lauren Heller, is Kelsey's wild best friend. She and Liza's BFF Maggie have a lot in common as they both act bravely and spontaneously.
Lauren is an Aries sign as she's passionate and doesn't like to wait for anyone or anything. She can be stubborn and annoying, like when she totally hijacks the planning of Kelsey's wedding, but she means well.
11 Taurus: Diana Trout
Like The Office, Younger focuses on work, and Diana Trout (Miriam Shor) ends up being a mentor figure to Liza, but the two don't get along at first.
Diana is definitely a Taurus as it's impossible to find a more stubborn person on the show. She likes things the way that they are and she doesn't want them to change. Diana's problem is that she has closed herself off to love and friendship for so long that she can't imagine socializing properly or letting people into her life. Thankfully, Liza's time at the office changes Diana for the better.
10 Gemini: Thad Steadman
Gemini signs love being with other people, learning, and they can also be confusing as they often retreat inside themselves. But otherwise, they're friendly and social.
This sounds like Kelsey's fiancé, Thad Steadman (Dan Amboyer), who dies in a very disturbing accident early on in the show. He seems like a manipulative jerk, but he has moments of being the life of the party.
9 Cancer: Charles Brooks
Peter Hermann's character, Charles Brooks, is in a love triangle with Josh and Liza, and he's got many personality traits of a Cancer sign.
He doesn't like when people find out too much about him and his background, which fans learn when his ex-wife writes a book that Liza starts editing. As the novel becomes a huge hit and the public is eager to figure out more about their marriage, Charles has a lot of trouble with it.
8 Leo: Maggie
Liza's best pal, Maggie (Debi Mazar), is definitely a Leo. She's a brilliant artist who has decided to live life the way that she wants, and she won't listen to anyone else.
She has an incredible loft and spends her days making her bold, unique art. Maggie has a ton of bravery and confidence, and she likes having people stare at her and be awed. Her worst nightmare would be staying home alone on a Friday night.
7 Virgo: Clare
Phoebe Dynevor's Younger character, Clare, is a classic Virgo. She's much more quiet than Josh and the others, and she likes to do her own thing without socializing too much.
Virgos like one-on-one social connection, which is something that Clare seems to crave. They also don't like leaning on others for assistance and support, which also describes Clare, as she shows up in NYC when she's heavily pregnant. She doesn't even tell Josh ahead of time.
6 Libra: Liza Miller
Liza has a lot of Libra traits, as her primary desire is for things to be fair.
When people start learning the truth about her age, Liza quits Empirical and runs away. She doesn't want to burden anyone and she hates that she has been lying to the people whom she cares about so much. Even when they tell her that they understand why she lied, Liza is still convinced that she's a terrible person. She will sacrifice her own happiness to ensure equality and fairness.
5 Scorpio: Quinn Tyler
Scorpios are a fascinating zodiac sign as they have the attitude that they always know what's going on and no one can tell them anything. But they're also sensitive and don't trust people very easily.
Quinn Tyler (Laura Benanti) is definitely a Scorpio. When she becomes a huge investor for Empirical, she doesn't get along with Liza, Kelsey, or anyone else at the company very well. She's a little creepy and manipulative, but she gets emotional quite often, too.
4 Sagittarius: Caitlin Miller
Liza's daughter Caitlin Miller (Tessa Albertson) is totally a Sagittarius. When the series opens, she's studying abroad and she doesn't ever want to come home. As soon as she does, she goes out at all hours and has fun with her friends. She's not interested in following the traditional marriage/kids/house path that her mom did.
Caitlin is much more bohemian than Liza, and it's almost hard to believe that they're mother and daughter because they are so different. Liza was always content to live in her New Jersey house and take care of her family, but Caitlin wants to travel and spread her wings and fly.
3 Capricorn: Josh
Nico Tortorella's Younger character, Josh, loves Liza so much that by the end of the sixth season, he's willing to give up his chill, hip lifestyle for her and really commit. Unfortunately for him, she's not sure that he's the right one as she's caught up in her romance with age-appropriate Charles.
Josh is a Capricorn because he loves the idea of having a traditional family unit. He might seem like a free spirit the moment that he and Liza meet, but as his girlfriend Clare has their baby, he realizes how much he wants to have his a family of his own. He really craves that stability and sense of love.
2 Aquarius: Zane Anders
Zane Anders (Charles Michael Davis) and Kelsey have a lot of funny workplace moments as they have huge crushes on each other but neither can really admit it. They're both brilliant and competitive editors, so they start off as enemies in the publishing industry.
Zane sounds like an Aquarius because these zodiac signs have two sides to them. Zane can be kind and chill, like when Kelsey goes over to his apartment for a nice dinner. Other times, he's trying to hurt her career so his can flourish.
1 Pisces: Kelsey Peters
Hilary Duff's Younger character, Kelsey Peters, never wears an ugly outfit or has a hair out of place. She's also a highly emotional person, which makes her a Pisces.
Kelsey is a strong businesswoman and holds her own no matter what, but when she's made publisher instead of Charles, she freaks out and can't handle the pressure. This proves that her emotions always get the best of her. She can be moody and when she's not happy with a situation, she has trouble focusing. She also cares a lot about Liza and treats her friends like family.
