Every television series has its own plot, own set of characters and own setting, meaning that viewers usually get to see inside made-up homes. These range from modest to extravagant, are located all over the world and feature a variety of design styles and home decor choices.
Out of all the houses that have ever been on TV, there are a few that stand out more than the rest, due to their iconic look, their super-cool style, their grand size and their picture-perfect vibe. That being said, here are 10 well-known homes from TV shows that we would love to live in … ranked!
10 The Brady Bunch
A very famous and fictional house from back in the day would be from The Brady Bunch. Its mid-century modern style and colors served as the backdrop for a story about a large family with six kids. And the actors that played these kids recently went back into the actual home with HGTV, in order to make it look just like it did on TV!
This option sits in the number 10 spot since parts of it are a little outdated and there is only one bathroom upstairs.
9 Full House
Another abode everyone should recognize is from Full House and its sequel series Fuller House. It is a tall and skinny house located in San Francisco and it is a tourist attraction.
The interior would be nice to have, as well, as there was always plenty of space for all the friends, neighbors, pets and family members on these two shows.
8 Friends
Several of the characters on Friends lived together, but the main apartment belonged to Monica. With its open floor plan and purple door, it is one that many fans have dreamed of owning.
It really does seem like the perfect hangout spot, and it can be found in one of the greatest cities on earth. However, living here would mean having to take in the views of Ugly Naked Guy … Yikes.
7 Charmed
While the Charmed house may not be for everyone, it belongs on this list. Just look at it! It was passed down in the family, and it stands out with its dramatic color and charming accents, like its gingerbread trim and stained glass windows.
It's very spacious and homey inside, not to mention, it was full of magic (which could be a positive or a negative).
6 New Girl
Another city apartment that is neat would be the one that Jessica, Nick, Schmidt, Winston and (at one point) Coach shared on New Girl. This loft offered up plenty of room for Thanksgiving Day meals and games of True American, and it allowed everyone to have their own rooms and personal spaces, as well.
A downside would be the shared bathroom, which felt like something right out of a college dorm hall. However, some may enjoy the extra camaraderie it would provide!
5 The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air
At least one mansion belongs on this list, right? On The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, Will moved in with his aunt and uncle, who did quite well for themselves.
From the basic bones of the house (including the detailed windows, impressive staircase and shiny floors) to the luxurious pieces of furniture and decor, this home is amazing. And even those who think it would be too big would surely not mind hanging out in it, at least for a bit.
4 Revenge
For views of the beach, there is Emily Thorne’s place on Revenge. When she was a child, she lived there with her father. Years later, when following through with her plan to get revenge, she moved back in, soaking up the memories and filling it with new items and a new energy.
Sure, the Grayson’s big house next door seems nice, too, but Emily’s porch, with the swing and the carving, wins.
3 Sex & The City
Sex & The City focused on Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, Charlotte York and Samantha Jones, meaning there were several spots to love. But Carrie is the one with the dream closet.
For years, fans have wondered how she could have afforded her apartment and all the numerous clothing items and accessories she filled it with, but instead of questioning it, let’s just imagine living in it. Wow!
2 Gossip Girl
On a similar note, there are Blair and Serena’s homes on Gossip Girl. They came from affluent families and lived lives of luxury. Some stand-outs from Blair’s home include the grand staircase leading down to that great black and white floor and the fact that B and S had rooms right next to one another for a bit of time.
And at the Van der Woodsen’s place, there were the iconic pieces of art and the fact that it was a penthouse.
1 Gilmore Girls
A fancy place to hang a hat is nice, but when it comes to TV homes we’d actually want to live in forever, the winner goes to Lorelai and Rory’s.
This darling house on Gilmore Girls looked and felt so cozy and real and inviting and perfect, inside and out.
