Garcelle Beauvais is a newcomer on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she's already expressing concerns about returning for a second season. Following the recent exit of her close friend and fellow cast member Denise Richards, it appears Garcelle hopes another veteran to the Housewives franchise will take her place.
Garcelle joined season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and made history after becoming the first Black woman cast in the show's 10 seasons. Her casting was celebrated by fans and long overdue for the popular series. Her transparency on the show was embraced wholeheartedly, as the Beverly Hills housewives are often criticized for coming off as inauthentic. Prior to Denise announcing her departure from the show, The Jamie Foxx Show alum revealed the pact the two friends made to leave the show together. At the height of Denise's drama with Brandi Glanville, Garcelle declared her loyalty to her friend Denise.
While fans of the show are speculating over Garcelle's second season, the actress and TV star has hinted at her return. Housewives fans were rocked on Thursday when NeNe Leakes announced her exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. NeNe has been a standout star on the show since it's inception in 2008. While Bravo teased NeNe's return in the future, it appears Garcelle has hopes of NeNe joining her in Beverly Hills. Following NeNe's big announcement on YouTube, Garcelle invited her to join the RHOBH in a since-deleted tweet captured by The Shaderoom. "@NeNeLeakes come help a sista out #RHOBH," Garcelle tweeted.
Though NeNe hasn't responded to the invite, fans of the franchise have expressed their disapproval. "She'd turn that place upside down," one user said. However, considering how Garcelle's only friend has left the show, she could be looking for another housewife to bond with during filming. In addition, adding more diversity to the RHOBH cast could be well received by viewers. Garcelle recently expressed worry about her second season, due to a warning given to her by Lisa Rinna. “Lisa Rinna [told me] the second season is usually when things happen,” Garcelle recalled. She credits the comment for making her reluctant to return next season. “It concerns me, absolutely. I’m still human," she said in a recent interview.
Aside from RHOBH, Garcelle most recently signed on to join the ladies on The Real daytime talk show as a co-host. She announced the big news earlier this year. How will her busy schedule play a role in her storyline next season? Fans will have to tune in to find out.
