Fall Guys Dev Helps Children Affected By War With Wholesome Charity Stream

Fall Guys developer Mediatonic has teamed up with War Child UK to help children affected by war with a wholesome charity streaming event. Fall Guys fits naturally as a child-friendly, non-violent title with adorable beans as playable characters.

There’s plenty of reasons to love Fall Guys, but one of the key ones is the flawless design of the in-game characters. Moreover, developers regularly release new amazing skins for the beans, which helps players express their creative freedom by customizing their alter egos. While there’re tons of costumes available right now, even more skins are seemingly on their way. According to one of the recent leaks, a Cyberpunk 2077 crossover might be in the works with skins of augmented characters appearing in Fall Guys.

Mediatonic and Devolver Digital are collaborating with the War Child UK foundation to help raise money for children affected by both conflicts and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In order to raise awareness, the companies are launching a dedicated charity streaming event called Armistice. To participate in it, streamers should visit a special page on fundraising platform Tiltify so that they can register and contribute to the cause. Content creators will be asked to stream Fall Guys from November 19 through November 30 to raise money for children in need. Additionally, all donations made by UK viewers from November 19 through February 18, 2021, will be doubled by the UK government to raise even more funds. On top of that, the Armistice event is also being held on Steam with a dedicated sale featuring almost two dozen indie games.

Fall Guys is famous for delivering not just a lighthearted game, but a tone to match from the developer. One of the latest initiatives has the Mediatonic team getting ready for an upcoming broadcast by preparing horrible looking geese costumes. This is an obvious hint at a crossover with Untitled Goose Game, which will result in a respective bean skin appearing in Fall Guys. While there’s already an excellent pigeon costume available in the game among others, the time has come for another ornithological enterprise.

While War Child UK has been doing good work for almost 15 years, Fall Guys is the perfect choice to help raise funds for children in need. A childish and friendly-looking title at its core, Mediatonic’s game is also immensely popular, which is another reason why it fits so great for a charity project. Additionally, the Armistice event will undoubtedly favor those streamers who decide to participate, which overall makes it a beneficial situation for all the parties involved in such a noble and vital cause.
