Cardi B Threatens Peppa Pig For Teaching Her Daughter To Jump In Puddles

Cardi B ignited a new feud -- with none other than Peppa Pig. Cardi, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, is no stranger to celebrity beef or a viral moment. The rapper rose to fame via social media, specifically Vine and Instagram, before being featured on VH1’s reality series Love & Hip Hop: New York. In 2017, she released her breakout single "Bodak Yellow," and went on to win a Grammy Award for her debut album Invasion of Privacy.  In 2020, she once again proved her staying power with her Megan Thee Stallion collab WAP. But she also made some famous enemies along the way, most notoriously feuding with fellow rapper Nicki Minaj.

Meanwhile, Peppa Pig is the main character in the beloved British animated children’s series of the same name. The show began airing in 2004 on Channel 5 in the UK, and now also runs on Nick Jr. in the US. Peppa has never won a Grammy, though she has feuded with a rapper before. Peppa's album came out on the same day as Iggy Azalea’s in 2019. At the time, Azalea jokingly demanded a collaboration, “or you’ll end up a breakfast special Peppa.”

Somehow, Peppa has found herself back in the frying pan after this latest complaint from Cardi B. On Tuesday, Cardi took to Twitter to blame the character for her daughter Kulture stomping in puddles. The rapper claimed that watching Peppa Pig has led to the toddler "f**king up her uggs," and warned the cartoon pig to "COUNT YOUR F**KIN DAYS!"

A bit more generously, she followed up the threat by retweeting a fan edit of Kulture’s face and Cardi’s voice into a clip of Peppa and her family stomping in puddles. In the video, as the family falls into the puddle together, Cardi’s WAP can be heard. She responded to the video with the comment, "Soooo bute [sic] lols."

Of course, Peppa might not be solely to blame for Kulture’s new puddle-stomping habit. After all, she is only two years old, and sometimes toddlers just like to splash in puddles. Toddlers do tend to absorb a lot of what they see and hear, however, and Cardi certainly wouldn’t be the first parent to blame television for her kid’s bad habits. Still, Peppa's a powerful pig with a huge following, so perhaps Cardi would be better off pivoting to invite the famous animated pig to collab. Most likely, puddle jumping and Peppa Pig will be a phase that Kulture soon grows out of, and this feud will quickly fade into the background.
