Cyberpunk 2077 PC Requirements: Minimum, Recommended, High & Ultra

The impressive graphics of Cyberpunk 2077 bring with them some hefty PC requirements, so fans who haven't updated their systems may want to take a look at developer CD Projekt Red's official spec recommendations. The developer has announced detailed Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements for multiple graphical settings, all of which can be found below.

Cyberpunk 2077 features a detailed world that trailers have shown populated by more NPCs and objects than seen in most other video games. Cyberpunk 2077's PS5 gameplay showed marked improvements over PS4 Pro, with more reflective weather effects and better lighting. Obviously, PC gaming's power and modularity gives it the potential to display even better graphics than the PlayStation 5, but only if players have high-quality components to meet Cyberpunk 2077's output.

Anticipating the game's steep system requirements, CD Projekt Red revealed updated Cyberpunk 2077 spec recommendations ahead of its December release date. PC builders should note that, according to a CDPR community manager, Cyberpunk doesn't support ray tracing on the newest AMD graphics cards at release, but the developer is working with AMD to integrate them post-launch.

The official Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements from CD Projekt Red can be seen above. The blue boxes indicate recommendations at different levels with ray tracing turned off, while the green boxes account for ray tracing's increased workload. At minimum (with ray tracing turned off), players will need 8 GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310 processor, a GTX 780 or Radeon RX 470 GPU, and 3 GB of VRAM.

Cyberpunk's Minimum requirements were created with Low settings and 1080p resolution in mind, while the Recommended requirements were created for High settings and 1080p resolution. At High and above, players should be able to hit Ultra settings and either 1440p or 4K resolution. CDPR noted it's possible for boxed copies to list Cyberpunk 2077's system requirements incorrectly, as they were updated in late November, after Cyberpunk 2077 went gold.

With Cyberpunk 2077 unlikely to receive another delay, these specs should apply to those playing on PC. Fans wanting to make the most of the game's graphical potential should pay close attention to these recommendations. Any issues players experience if they meet these requirements but are still having trouble can be reported at CDPR's official Cyberpunk 2077 Technical Support forum, where users can share common issues and solutions.
