Players of CD Projekt RED's Cyberpunk 2077 continue to share various bugs and glitches they've encountered in the highly anticipated action-RPG that spent roughly nine years in development. Even after all that time, numerous delays, and extensive crunch periods, Cyberpunk 2077 still launched in shambles in early December 2020, resulting in furious fans, many refunds, a potential lawsuit, and many frustrating and funny glitches and bugs.
When it does work properly, many are finding the combat and other Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay mechanics to be engaging and enjoyable. Players with a sense of humor are even discovering that some of the game's many issues - though unintentional - actually make the dystopian open world an entertaining experience, notwithstanding the immersion these funny glitches take away.
Steps are reportedly being taken on the developers' end to rectify many of Cyberpunk 2077's problems, but the game's countless glitches are prevalent enough that this will likely take some time. Many are understandably not willing to wait that long to give Cyberpunk 2077 a shot. Those advancing regardless of the game's issues are showcasing the (often hilarious) bugs they find on a daily basis. The ridiculous glitches are so frequent that #Cyberpunk2077Bugs has trended on Twitter, and players are sharing their absurd findings on other platforms as well. Some of the funniest Cyberpunk 2077 glitches have been collected here.
The irony in this clip is just too good. The way Cyberpunk's characters tend carry on as usual despite the random glitches going on around them is one of the aspects that make these issues so comical. Aimless and irregular explosions are just a normal occurrence in Night City for now, as demonstrated by oblivious Viktor Vector maintaining a casual demeanor whilst awkwardly sit-floating around his clinic as his surroundings spontaneously combust.
This bug almost feels reminiscent of the Cyberpunk 2077 duplication glitch that corrupting some players' save files, though with much less severe consequences. The music and camera angles in this clip almost make this silly bug feel intentional, which is probably why it is so funny. Removing sunglasses only to reveal more sunglasses underneath certainly takes the immersion away, but viewers can at least get some laughs in return.
Everything going on in this scene is a perfect analogy for the snowballing of catastrophic events some players are currently experiencing in Cyberpunk 2077. A car knocked over? Not too unusual. The hood haphazardly pops off? It's not uncommon for new games to be a bit buggy. A figure walks vertically out of the vehicle and hovers above it? O.K., that's weird. Then the car explodes to top everything off in a glorious finale of classic Cyberpunk 2077 glitch absurdity.
That's one way to stand out in Night City. It's already pretty funny to see V do a standing T-pose while riding a motorcycle, but the pants randomly coming off is just the chef's kiss to this deliciously hilarious glitch. It's almost hard to believe this is completely unintended, as funny as it is. It's certainly on par with Cyberpunk's random genitalia exposure glitches many players are encountering.
This glitch is, quite literally, like watching a car crash - you can't look away. It's not uncommon to experience bad drivers in a big city, but those in Night City seem to be the absolute worst. No wonder the game refers to it as the "worst place to live in America." The fact that some of these Cyberpunk 2077 motorists are cursing at the player for their own disastrous driving is just icing on the cake.
Wrapping up this farcical compilation is a Night City police officer winding down - backwards - and with superb flexibility. More irony ensues with the cop's dialogue, and the streamer's reaction only enhances the comedy. These are only a handful of the abundant and outrageous Cyberpunk 2077 glitches being shared on social media, and they'll likely continue to grace the internet with riotous laughs for a while until CD Projekt RED is able to rectify the game's extensive issues.
